It works
The main complaint I have is not with the unit, but with how long it took for it to arrive. To be fair, they did say it would be that long. And it was. The unit itself is fine. The arms are really stiff, but bendable, and I suppose that's what keeps it stable when I have an on-camera light on one arm and the Rode video mic on the other. It's no problem Although it's not easy) to bend the arms so that the iPhone 8+ can move freely on the Osmo. Another feature I like is the little ball joints on the ends of the arms, which allow me to aim the light and mic different directions w/o having to re-bend the arms.

Awesome the first day - didn't last
I really wish I could write a better review for this product because it is much more convenient than a pair of articulated magic arms. Unfortunately, for now it is still a great concept with very poor execution..The arms are very light and very strong. I am using a pair of Godox TT350 (270g/9.5oz each). My macro lens is a 180mm and I keep the arms fully extended. With this setting the arms are rock solid and I am sure that it would still work if I was using higher power and heavier flash units. The plate is definitely long enough (140mm/5.5") for macro use and it has everything anyone would expect and is exactly as shown on the pictures. There is only one annoying feature: even though it has a D-ring mounting screw, the recessed location makes it useless (once the D-ring falls flat, you need a tool to pull it back-up).Slightly more concerning is the low quality of the cold shoe mount: a soft-ish plastic base and a metal mounting plate screwed with tiny screws, definitely not strong enough for the expected stress on the flash head - after a few hours of use, the screws on one side fell off (fortunately while I was adjusting the flash and it didn't fall in the water). It's not a big deal once you know about it because it's easy to replace these with metal ones.A lot more annoying is that the ball that mounts on the plate on the left side came loose after a few uses. Now the left arm has about 20 degrees of almost free motion up and down. It is still usable but that won't last and it is so frustrating and annoying that I am back to the magic arms. One of these situations where I should have started using the item right away because by the time I figured out it was useless it was already too late to send it back.

This was a mistake.
Poor quality. Product arrived five days late. One of the set screws was missing, I later found it loose in the box, however, no allen wrench was supplied to put it back in with. The ball and socket diameter is too small to firmly hold a normal sized flash such as a Nikon SB600, and it's very difficult to grab the ball and socket adjustment screw to tighten the ball. In summation, I will probably never be able to use this product.

Nice cost, nice quality, and fast delivery.
It has arrived even before the promised time table. It is really versatile and cost-effective.

i'm happy with this - better than I expected
the arms are super stiff so far, but that's great - they will hold lots of weight if necessary - this should work well
