Chocolate Cake Twinkies, 10 Count, 13.58 Ounce (Pack of 1)

These are good but against all my rules. So I'll enjoy finishing the box then I'll try to imagine they don't exist. They are chocolate, with a good flavor, but with a strong hint of "this is not good for you." Worth a try.

I cannot find these in any store near me. But when I received the Twinkies, the box they were shipped in, was crushed and many were popped and were dried out. There were some that are relatively fresh and those few are the tastiest of the tasty!!

If chocolate cake Twinkies sounds good, then go for it. The cake part needs more moistness and the famous filling could be more dairy like to be perfect. Ya know: croissants au chocolat? These won't be mistaken for those...

I love the chocolate and cream filled cakes! But you can't find these anywhere except on Amazon!

I'm not going to tell you NOT to buy these chocolate Twinkies, but be aware that they just aren't as wonderful as you're probably hoping they'll be. They're just ok, perfectly acceptable but not special. It's worth it to buy them if you want to try them and see what they're all about and maybe you'll love them. But I guess I was expecting more from them. ALSO, and maybe this was part of the problem with them, they were shipped in a bag instead of a box, and they arrived squished and squashed and mashed and mushy, which did NOT do them (or me) any favors. So go ahead and try them if only to satisfy your curiosity, but expect them to be crushed and mushy because of the way they're shipped, and to not be anything super spectacular.

I just love the chocolate Twinkies. I will be ordering them again.

I love chocolate cake with white filling, but. the chocolate filling that I got tasted funny. Would not order again. I only would want white filling. Much too expensive to not get what I like.

Decided to try these as an alternative to the vanilla Twinkies and yes, definitely a tasty variation, although £3 more expensive. Not as obviously sweet as the vanilla and the chocolate flavour does adds something. Very bad for the teeth and waistline, but as an occasional treat, what the heck - !

I was surprised as I was expecting it to taste cheap & chemically, but the sponge was nice & soft with a lovely cocoa flavour.

These ones trump the plain ones IMO — I believe the cocoa powder makes the sponge a little firmer to the bite and goes with the marshmallow-like filling nicely, and it doesn’t taste as artificial as the other flavours (although these ones still do contain artificial ingredients). They taste very much like the hot fudge sundae Pop Tarts to me, just cakey!

They’ve got a chocolate brownie smell and taste like that too, definitely worth buying if you enjoy brownies! And came next day as I paid for next day delivery

Very expensive for what they are and I prefer the vanilla ones, the chocolate ones have a weird after taste.
