I love this pillow. I get migraines and this pillow helps me sleep with a better neck position and I have seen a reduction in migraines and waking up stiff. I can sleep on my back, side, or stomach and find a comfy spot on the pillow. I wouldn’t say it is cool, but it definitely doesn’t get too warm. I never feel the need to ‘flip to the cool side’. I just got a second one so I could have one at my sister’s house and I didn’t realize that my other one had compressed a little bit. I haven’t measured it but the new one feels about an inch thicker, a bit firmer, and makes the old one (bought 3 years ago) feel a bit sad. I will plan to replace them every 2 years now. The covers are very easy to remove and wash. A standard pillow case fits well.

Before using this pillow I was struggling finding the right position to place my head for sleep. It felt like with every way I lay my head down, the next morning I'd wake up with a stiff neck and aches. I gave this pillow a try and it shapes your head into a neutral position whether if you're a side sleeper or back sleeper. A while later those aches went away and I started having more peaceful rests at night. I love the cover it comes with also, very soft. However I haven't used other pillow covers on this due to the shape of the pillow. I just washed the original cover each time but within time I noticed the cover starting to deform and some parts got loose strands now. I know it can be a bummer but I'm more focused on the functionality to be honest. As long as the pillow doesn't loose its structure like ordinary pillows do, I'm fine without the original cover, it can be replaced easily. I just loved the softness to it. Lastly, I wouldn't really recommend for a belly sleeper due to the way the pillow is molded.

This pillow really works well for me. I use a CPAP and sleep on my side a lot. Side sleeping tends to dislodge a CPAP mask and cause leaks. This pillow feels so good when I lie flat on my back, that I now spend very little time on my side. I'm sleeping more efficiently, with less messing around with a leaky mask because I'm so comfortable, and so still, while on my back. It's also pretty good when I'm on my side as well. The unique shape nestles my head comfortably and causes me to toss and turn far less. The Donama is a revelation for me! One thing that may be a slight negative for some (nor for me), is that the foam is not memory foam. It's made of a regular foam that springs back to shape instantly. The density is just right, and I can't imagine that memory foam would be any more comfortable, but...just so you know.

I really wanted this pillow to work for me. It was recommended for me to try from some friends over in my migraine groups who have sworn this helped alleviate a lot of their issues. I have a queen sized bed, so I ordered the queen pillow back in Nov 2024. I'm a small/short person (5'1), so I found the pillow a bit difficult to rest into because my head/shoulder ratio is just small. It felt awkward. I tried it both ways, and gave it a few months thinking I just needed some time. It took me about 2 weeks to adjust, and I thought all was good. Over time though, I noticed my jaw/ neck were throbbing and not doing so well when I would wake up- and it ended up aggravating my TMJ/ cervicogenic headaches/migraines even more. I ended up going back to my older foam pillow due to the fact it wasn't helping the issues I have. It was comfortable! It did keep me in position, provided support and kept me aligned. The cover is also washable and easy to throw in the machine. It was firm and I had no issues with sweating or any of that, but I do think my body type was just a no-go with this, at least for the size I had and how I was positioned within it. I know there are different sizes and i'd try one again if there is any hope it can help with my issues- but that is down the road.

I waited 2 weeks to write a review to test the pillow. I am 56 yrs old and I have been waking up with neck pain for a long time...I have tried all kinds of different pillows. I looked at so many of these and saw all the reviews and decided to try it. I have to say that it works amazing! I have not woke up with neck pain at all. It contours perfectly for your neck and spine. I prefer sleeping with the big end instead of the smaller end. I put my own pillow case over it, just because I sweat (menopause). I highly recommend this product! It does work and it does make a huge difference in my neck.
