Bought this as a gift for our 42-year-old daughter and she absolutely loves it. No more hand grating with the stand grater. Sooooo much easier and faster and fit the machine well. Made her wonder why she hadn't done it sooner (well, I guess because we didn't buy it for her sooner-ha ha) Update: While the product worked great, it was missing part of the packaging and did not look like the picture. The inside was plain cardboard vs the advertised black. The attachments were sitting in plain cardboard slots without the nice cover. See pictures for the advertised vs what we got.

This is really a great attachment shredder. It works great. The old white one that kitchenaid had was so hard to remove. This one removes easy. The only drawback is it is not as large as the white ones were. To slice potatoes, if they are too big you have to cut them to fit. This one has a smaller opening. It's worth it to me because I can remove on my owm.

I have a food processor, but sometimes I just like having the versatility of this great Kitchenaid accessory in my culinary arsenal. As with all the accessories I use with my Kitchenaid Artisan mixer, this Fresh Prep Slicer/Shredder attachment makes meal prep fast and easy. It is especially handy when I am prepping make-ahead meals or larger group quantities for party or holiday celebrations. It doesn’t take a lot of storage space; I appreciate that in my small footprint kitchen.

Really loved it. I wish I had this earlier, this does the shredding job in seconds, I didn’t used to cook and make different meals because it took me so long to make them, with two kids it’s very hard. Now with this I am able to make different healthy meals and salads for my family. I wish I had bought it earlier. 100% worth the price. And it’s sturdy, not made from cheap material. And strong. Doesn’t look like it’s gonna break easily. And shreds effectively

I love my Kitchen Aid mixer and every attachments that I have with it so yes I had to get this. I hated shredded cheese before and I even tried the one with that suctions to the counter and has the crank handle. It didn’t stay stuck to my counter and the handle kept coming off and was very discouraging to use. I ordered this and I love it. I love how easily it shreds all my cheese and my dog even loves when I open the box cause she knows she’s going to get cheese. The only thing I don’t like is cleaning the cheese grater it’s hard to get inside to get all the cheese out, but I may do not enough to stop me from using it. I am shredding cheeses on average 3-4 times a week.

It is kitchen aid. When you see this online and in youtube videos it looks flimsy... Totally not so. I got this today and it massive. in terms of heavy so it's not a cheap product it is really well built. I would say that it's worth the extra 20$ to get a pro tool instead of a che4ap knockoff

Slicing and grating is excellent, but shredding is horrible specially onion and tomato
