GreenPan Healthy Ceramic Nonstick Reversible Waffle Plates for 6-in-1 Contact Grill and Griddle, Dishwasher Safe, PFAS-Free

These plates are great space savers! I was able to cut down on the number of appliances in my kitchen because of these. They’re also one of the few ceramic options for waffle makers, which makes them seem healthier than the competition.

Really great non stick plates.

Electrical: The only appliance I own that triggers the circuit breaker. Once upon a time it used to work without triggering the breaker. Then one day it started triggering it. So then I moved the waffle maker to a different set of outlets that don’t share electricity with anything else. It worked there for a while. Now today, it triggers the outlets there too. I guess it could just be our home. But we’ve had the electrical everything checked out here in the last couple of years. And no other electrical item has led to any issues except for this waffle maker. Temp indicator: Additionally, the temp indicator has increased by 1°. So everything is 1° higher! Want it at 375°, you’ll get 376°. Want 400°? You’ll get 401°. So strange. Ceramic non stick: Last but not least, the ceramic coating does come off easily. I am very diligent about only using silicone coated tongs with it. And soft sponges to clean it. And yet, there are parts that have flaked off. GREASE: now, I realize that it’s designed to have a decline to allow for grease to drip away. But for waffles, it leads to uneven greasing of the waffle iron. — So, I give a star for the times I’ve used it. And while mine still works a couple of years later, where others have said theirs stopped working. I can’t use it because it keeps triggering the breakers.

Fits in Greenpan machine and works as described but makes very flat waffles.

After searching high and low for a versatile appliance that does more than just make waffles, I bough the 6 in 1 and the "reversable" waffle plates. Unfortunately, the plates I received are not reversable as described. They are clearly one sided and lack the classic style molds I desire. They are not as pictured and the reverse side has no ceramic coating or functional molds. They will only make Belgian style waffles. Very disappointed as I had hoped to have a multi-function griddle that also made classic style waffles.

I had these plates for a greenpan grille that I returned. It cooked wonderfully but alas, the non stick coating scratches easily even without using anything but soft/silicone tools and cleaning it by hand.

These plates are not reversible, as stated on the product page. So the photo showing a Belgian and a traditional shape is a misrepresentation. The product item number matches between the manufacturer's box and the Amazon listing, so maybe the wrong item was put into the box? I'm really disappointed to have to return these, since the only waffle shape in this set is the Belgian.

These plates are nothing like what is shown in the pictures or the description. They only make one type of waffle and do not have a usable flip side. Purchased end of Nov 2023.
