More or less a piece of crap
WHO ARE THESE PEOPLE that are raving about this thing?! I *honestly* believe they're fake -- they have to be, or else my faith in humanity is truly dead. Seriously, this thing is alright, but **definitely** not worth the 17 bucks or whatever it was. I say it's worth $7.50, tops. And wouldn't be surprised if that still left the manufacturer with a 75% profit margin. The parts are cheap and barely stays in place. For example, if you position the "arm" and other parts, and tighten up the screws that hold it in place, it'll stay that way for a short time and then the screws loosen and the "arm" and other movable parts take on a life of their own, going anywhere they want. I usually end up tightening them with pliers when I really need something not to move, which kinda defeats the purpose of the finger screws and probably makes it even more flimsy over time. Then there's the magnifying glasses ... the smaller ones, which are the higher magnification ones, work -- sorta. I'm can use them to look at very small electronic parts, which is helpful, but they can only focus in on a very small area. To be fair, that's kinda what magnification is, so I get that. But there's something else that's just not quite right... like it's blurry or something like that. (It's relevant to know that I have 20/20 vision.) The other, larger magnifying glass is ok, but the weight of it may be too much for this thing, especially since the tightening screws don't actually hold anything in place. So it mostly just kinda flops around, knocking into the other parts. And that brings me to my final criticism. All this crap is crammed so closely together that there's no room to do anything! I ended up removing the magnifying glasses altogether and just use them by hand when I need them. It wasn't that useful to begin with, and now I have a little bit of room to actually work on something. But I'll still end up buying better magnifying glasses soon. So it's like what's the point of the ones that came with this thing beyond a mediocre temporary solution?OH! I almost forgot about the soldering iron holder! Haha... that was the first thing I removed. Are you kidding me? I'm going to trust this thing to safely hold a hot soldering iron? No. And it made the cramped space situation even worse, so it had to be the first part to go.On the plus side, it's moderately useful for holding very small things. But not TOO small, because the little clips aren't very good.... something too small would just slip through. I'm including some pictures to show the items size this thing is most comfortable holding (and mind you, I've tightened the screws with pliers to keep it in place, and I've removed half of the bulky items so I have room to work. Oh, and another plus is the light works pretty good. I actually find it useful most of the time. But the when I remember I paid like $17.something or whatever it was for this thing it pisses me off a little. Lucky for the sellers, I decided it wasn't worth the time and effort it would take to send it back and, as I mentioned, it's moderately useful from time to time, so they get to keep my money.

Tiny soldering station
This is very small for anything bigger than a smart phone. Look at picture I included and compare it the AAA battery I placed next to it.

Great magnifier
I have poor vision close up. I needed something that would magnify what inwas working on but wasn't cumbersome or hard to use. This magnifying system couldn't be better. The main glass provides more than adequate magnification. For smaller items or more intensive magnification, add the small magnifier and everything is crystal clear. If you need a set of helping hands, the alligator clamps can be added to hold your item steady. Additionally, there is a holder to keep your soldering iron in check. Inreally like the fact that they can be removed when you aren't using them and then add them back easily when you do.Let's not forget that the magnifying glass is also removable for projects you dont require magnification for.I give this a 10/10. It is good quality. It is highly customizable to fit all of your needs. It is compact, yet not too small. Definitely recommend this item.

Cheap Chinese junk
This thing is pretty bad. The helix doesn’t screw into the threads, so nothing stays in place once it’s “tight” and “secure”. The Led lights are Okay, the plug for the power only pushes in 1/4 of the way, so it feels like it’s going to constantly fall out. The movement of the arms and clips is rough and hard to get set into proper place to “tighten”. Overall this thing is junk.

This thing is great.
I bought this as a gift for my father who loves assembling model cars, and he loves it. He couldn't wait to play with the different levels of magnification.Everything was easy to assemble and the fit and finish is A+I will recommend this to anyone who is interested.

Too small for me
It is good. I would have liked to have a heavier base, a longer arm on the magnifier and less sharp teeth on the clamp. It tip over when I move the magnifier out of the way to get to the clamps. I would like to have more space to work with under the magnifier as well. The clams teeth leave marks on my boards. It was not made for what I am using it for I suppose.

Awesome Gadget
This thing is awesome. Little hands to hold things and a magnifier with a light to see what you are doing.

Works well, needs minor improvements.
The unit works well but could use an improved tightening system for all parts. It does work though.
