Does anyone know what the spots on the bottom of the kettle are? They look like fungus, but we just got this kettle three days ago.

Could be mineral deposits, especially if used heavily. Fill with vinegar water mixture and bring to boil. Pour out and rinse well with fresh cold water. That should take care of any fungus (unlikely if you were just heating water) as well as minor calcium or other mineral buildup. I usually heat and pour out one pot after each cleaning to make sure all the vinegar is gone. We also have high mineral content in our water due to lots of limestone locally. I have found that pouring out the last bit of water each time, rather than leaving it in the and just adding more, seems to reduce the frequency needed for cleaning with vinegar.

Are there any plastic or rubber pieces on the inside or in contact with the water?

Unit is stainless steel inside with plastic hinged lid. Lid is attached to ss body at the top. Steam will come in contact with the lid but I don't see how water will interact with the plastic lid. Great unit with long life.

Does this kettle has keep warm function ?

NO, the Krups BW260850 does not continue warming the water in any way once it boils and shuts off. It is simply well insulated. (Amazon may combine reviews and questions/answers for similar products. Some of those may have a keep warm function.)

Tomen en cuenta que es de 1.7litros y tiene un diseño alto (la anterior que usaba era de 1.5lts mucho mas bajita) Normalmente yo hiervo el agua y tiene un boton directo para eso que es muy conveniente Tiene un display que va mostrando la temperatura en grados F Es rapida Dicen que la tapa no abre mucho, a mi me parece bien.. Por dentro es de metal, por fuera parece tener una cubierta de plastico En general se ve de muy buena calidad
