engaging for kids!
bought this for my son's 4th birthday. The minute he opened, Daddy was going to help him, but he figured it out on his own. Spent hours with it, changing the look of the tires and the spoiler. He "fixed" the engine. He enjoyed it. My daughter got in on the action too...Was a good toy for a lightning McQueen crazed boy. It teaches skills like putting things together and screwing with the tools present. All and all good toy.

Love this toy and my 3yo can do it all by himself!
I bought this for my 3yo son (almost 4) for Christmas. I thought I would have to help him every time he wanted to play with it, that is definitely not the case. He is able to use the screwdrivers to put Lightning together and take him apart again with no struggles whatsoever. Usually his toys will frustrate him to tears, this one is an exception. He loves this toy and it keeps him occupied for several minutes! He doesn't need any help from me to play with it. I highly recommend this for toddlers!

Read before you buy!
At first I was hesitant on buying this, because I thought it would be a little toy car but the lightening mcqueen is a really good size, the tools are a perfect size for little hands and they tools fit with the screws (which are big btw) perfectly. Another thing, The reviews that say the wheels do not turn aren't true, the wheels do turn if you don't tighten them to much which I would expect from any toy car and its a good thing to teach kids that sometimes for things to spin you leave it loose. good for boys and girls, I would say this toy is good for 4-8 and up.

Great!
Great toy. My 3 year old nephew loves it, and enjoys playing with it alone and with his Dad. Dad had to help him put it together the first time. He enjoys crashing Lightening McQueen then putting him back together. The tools are good quality, and pretty detailed for a plastic toy. I’m sure it’s also helping my nephew’s developmental skills.

My 3 year old loves it!
My 3 year old loves this. Every day he takes it apart and puts it back together over and over. He's autistic so it's hard to find a toy that keeps his interest. This does it! It could be better tho if it came with a tool box to hold all the parts. I had to find a small paw patrol tackle box.

Awesome Toy
Keeps my 2.5 year old busy for hours! He practices his hand eye coordination, how to use tools, how to match shapes. The only down side I've found to this toy is if you loose a wheel... there are no back ups! Which is the end of the world for a toddler! I was surprised at how well he figured out how to attach and remove the tires using the screws and tools to work the screws. The first few times he needed help but after that he plays on his own. We bought a basket for all the pieces so hopefully no tires get lost again!

2 year old loves
My 2 year old is a huge McQueen fan and loves building. I was worried he’d build it once and be over it but he assembles and dissembles over and over again.

4 year old
My 4 year old nephew loved Cars and opened this right away. He played with it for several hours. It was easy for him to understand and use with his small hands. He dragged the car around the house with him for the entire day.
