Some of the best I've ever used
The sound quality on these is the next best thing to my big ol' DT770 cans. The only complaint I have is that this specific design is kind of awkward to get on and off until you're used to it.

Replacing my planar magnetic headphone collection with these.
I've had the whole lineup of Hifiman up to the Arya and these are my new daily drivers instead. Make sure you have an amplifier has 2 ohms of output impedance or less to match them properly and not affect the sound. They're easy to drive, in low gain on the 3.5mm jack on a Topping A90, so it's a breeze. Soundstage, details, you name it, these have tons.Cons: Soundstage is wider than depth (front to back) but not that much. Even playing in Destiny 2 it was a blast as you can hear a pin drop 30 yards away. If you want to max them out, get another amp I have is the Topping L30 II and an E50 DAC on optical and you'll have a noise floor so completely black you'll think you're haunted. They are really smooth and a little slippery if your hands are dry and clean. There's 3 sets of tips to pick from, so comfort is just trying a few, but I started with the black foam mid size and they're good. If you hear the mids sometimes sound "shouty" at certain notes, switch tips and make sure they're fitted because tips and fit are everything with these.Flac are a must, also the JDS Atom Amp+ DAC+ is amazing with these if you want to buy American. Someone just posted a song on a message board to ask help listening for artifacts, and I told him I could hear his chair rustling as he played keyboards which he wasn't aware of. These are REALLY detailed if you have a great source and flac files. If budget is the issue, get the Truthear Crinnacle Zero which is the only other IEM's I use. They need no equalizing, but they do need more current than a phone will have. If it outputs 2 volts at least you should be fine, just not less than that. These are great if you've ever had the Hifiman HE6SE and equalized them with a -6db preamp reduction, and realized you need an amplifier that can power a lighthouse to get them loud. I'm checking out of the rat race for crazy power after hearing these. Also if you wear glasses, seal problems are solved. If you have balanced, get the 4.4mm version, planars really make use of the extra voltage.

Thrilled
I love these IEMs. I would start to buy them and then talk myself out of getting them. There were so many reviewers, both on Amazon and Youtube that would talk about how cold sounding or too clinical or even saying they didn't sound fun. I strongly disagree. I find it extremely fun to hear music I love with so much resolution and clarity unlike I've ever heard. I've never owned planar IEMs or headphones and I'm so glad I went ahead and took the chance. I'm running these balanced and it takes the music to another level. For the last two or three years, I've been buying just about every pair of Chi Fi IEMs that have come out. Some I've been very pleased with and others will barely get used. Then I started hearing about these planar sets that came out. I watched all of the videos and read all of the reviews and contemplated if I should take the gamble. Wow, I'm I glad I did. I've never heard such resolution. You're able to hear everything that's been recorded. The soundstage is good, more wide than in front of you. The separation is not as good as I would prefer, but still good. I'm still having fun hearing something that makes your brain convince you that the music is coming from some inanimate object that's nearby. The bass is good and punchy. The midrange is fantastic. The vocals are incredible. These shine brightest with acoustic music. Listening to the silky voices of performers such as Sara Bareilles or Jennifer Warnes takes you to a level above your regular listening experience. Other genres of music sound better than with most IEMs. Classical and jazz sound very good as well. The same goes for rock. I listen to every genre of music and haven't heard anything that makes me disappointed. As a typical audiophile, my audio equipment collection will never be finished. So many people don't understand that, but with new things constantly coming out, how could someone who loves great-sounding music not want to better their system? This review has been kind of rambling. I apologize for that. I'm just so happy and impressed with these. Every time I listen to music I will notice that I have a huge smile on my face. If you're on the fence as I was, just try them.
