I bought this as I wanted to learn playing flute. Being a beginner, I wanted to have a perfectly tuned flute. This flute was perfectly tuned (I checked through my Guru-ji). The flute quality was great and the plug was cork instead of rubber. This added perfect sound quality. This flute will be slightly hard for beginners. You will need a teacher to show you some finger techniques. Otherwise, it will be slightly tough. Cost-wise it is slightly expensive. You cannot do any customization as this is directly shipped from Amazon warehouse.

It's a good looking flute, sounds nice, I had been playing flute for last 2 years I didn't find any difficulty in Playing the instrument. But a few words of caution, I have played some local made flute, I played Sharfuddin, and this time I got Punam flute and it is the heaviest of them all. Even my E base from sharfuddin doesn't weight so much. So, if you like to play fast finger style it might not be suitable. Lighter flute are better for that. Also it's finger as well as blowing holes are smaller compared to othe makers. I am happy with the quality of Bamboo, the making and playability of this one.

The bamboo is really smooth and I can feel the difference between Subhash Thakur's Bamboo and Bakale's Bamboo. 1.Material Quality Thakur>Bakale's 2. Ease of playing Thakur sir's Flute is slightly better than of Bakale's Bansuri. 3. Cover Quality Punam cover feels great and is of premium quality. 4. Sound Quality Highly depends on the player. Sound Quality is equally good but as I said earlier when it comes to ease of playing then I will suggest Punam. 5.Price Bakale's 2600/- Punam: 4200/- Bakale's>Punam's *If someone can visit Karnataka and personally purchase Bansuri from Mr. Bakale's then obviously you get the same thing in a cheaper rate. Overall verdict. If you are a rich beginner then surely you can go for Punam otherwise Bakale's Flute aren't bad either( they are pretty good!).
