Great so far for the money, surprisingly quiet
Got tired of name brand ones failing so figured I would try this one at fraction of the price and I needed a 220v model. I was pleasantly surprised how quiet it was. I had my pool guy install it and he was surprised too by how quiet it was. Would say it isn't as powerful as previous pump but it is adequate and may actually be better in long run, so it lasts longer. I will update review if it doesn't last long but so far running great after install.

No support, died after two years
The first issue was no wiring diagram on it or in the instructions. After a year it had to be shut off and on several times to get it to start. After two years it died completely. Fairly certain it was the centrifugal switch for the start windings. Can’t find replacement parts so I can’t know for sure. It was the cheapest pump I’ve ever bought for a pool and despite this it was a poor value. I shut my pool down early and will buy a different pump next spring.

Works great
I have a 48inch deep pool that came with its own crappy filter system that did not and barely "churned" the water. This particular system is strong and works well.

Cost effective solution
This pump was bought to replace a broken Intex sand filter pump and it works better than the original ,with out replacing the whole filter system. To use with Intex systems you will need to buy the hose adaptors ,and wire up a on/off switch. I just boxed in the top of a 30 inch long 2x6 with a rain flap over the front to house a plug receptical and switch to turn it on and off with. The pump is quiter and moves more water at the same pressure as a more cost effective solution.

Great value
You cannot beat this pump for the money. The suction is amazing and it is truly made for in-ground pools. Those people who say it won't prime likely have the wrong end of the pool vacuum hose (the swivel end) attached to the pump. I am using it at 115 volt and I am impressed. Why spend upwards of $400 - $700 on the other "name brands" when you can spend a fraction and attain the same results?

Work great and quietly

I replaced a hayward superpump in a hurry this spring. The pump was easy to install and remained water tight the whole summer. Priming may have been sluggish sometimes. filtering a 14 x 28 inground pool with a sand filter.
