Vergil Yamato Japanese Katana Replica Sword

As a DMC fan, I always wanted to buy a katana that does not necessarily need to be legit but does resembles Vergil's Yamato. While I did not expect this replica to be the same as a real katana when I brought this impulsively, I was extremely satisfied with the product when it arrived. At first sight, you could probably mistaken this replica to be a real sword! The biggest surprise to me was that the scabbard was solidly made despite it being plastic and adorned with the cloth ribbons which is a plus. I don't know what the handle is made of because it is well wrapped in cloth, and the components, tsuba and kashira (Hand guard and butt cap), are well made with metallic materials and artistic details. As expected and desired, the metal blade is not sharpened, but sadly, the blade is somewhat dull in color and even has white plastic fragments on it the first time I pulled it out of the scabbard. However, this product is a very good replica in terms of size, material, and weight especially for its price! If you are looking for a cosplay tool or simply a replica katana, this is it!

The sword was cheap, so I didn't expect much, but it does its job as a decorative piece for any DMC fan. I got this sword because I think Vergil is way more awesome than Dante (sorry to any Dante fans) and the figures for Vergil look awful. HERE IS MY OPINION -The blade is dull (since it is a display item). -white handle stains easily. -This blade is by no means "usable" but still looks nice. -The scabbard (Sheath) is plastic. -Not quite as big as the real Yamato, but looks similar enough. -Metal work on both scabbard and pommel are beautiful. -makes a nice costume addition. Overall, satisfied with this purchase.

My sword came with a white handle instead of a blue one, and the guard was not exactly like the one in the picture, but other then that the sword is exactly like Vergil's from the Devil May Cry 3 video game and I'm very satisfied with it and the quality of it since I paid so little. It's not sharpened but I don't intend on using it for anything other then display obviously so that's not a major factor but it'd be nice if the sword was sharp.

This is a very well detailed sword. Anyone who is a Devil May Cry fan needs to get this. I absolutely love Vergil and this sword is just... Amazing! It is VERY pointy at the tip so be careful. ^_^ When I opened it though, it was a bit dirty but nothing bad, just take out a dry rag and wiped the stuff off. Very good pricing as well! Now I can officially start my Vergil cosplay! And since I got this so early and bought it for cheap, I might have to buy myself the Rebellion and Red Queen. :D

I received the sword yesterday afternoon. I was very excited to open the box and my expectations were easily met. The blade is not sharp and this is not a battle ready weapon, it is for cosplay or decoration and that was something I already knew. The handle is wrapped very well and the blade is just gorgeous looking. I was very pleased with the shipping as well. If you are a Devil May Cry fan like me or just a fan of Vergil then this is a great buy at this price (currently $21 not including shipping).

This sword is very well made. Cloth wrappings are a nice touch, good departure from the usual nylon wrappings that many swords will ship with. Scabbard seems to be plastic, but feels quite nice in the hand. Tsuba is well designed, and solid. Full tang blade has a good quality feel to it. Overall, I can't find any fault in the product. I wouldn't have minded spending just a little bit more to have a nice wooden scabbard with metal fittings.

sword came in looking just like Vergil's. my only gripe is that the handle isnt blue under the white as it originally is and how they show it to be in the picture. its actually just all white. i'll figure a way to change that on my own. regardless of that, its very well put together and i love it.
