Still works years after installation

I purchased this in May 2023 to have on hand as a spare. It was installed in May 2024 when the original capacitor on my AC unit failed. I bought another of the same to have on hand. This unit worked fine until it failed on August 28 2025, so just over a year after install. I put the other on and we’ll see how long it lasts. I’ve messaged the seller about a warranty claim. Will update or edit once I see how that goes. Update: Seller promptly sent me a replacement under warranty. Changed my rating to 4 star for good customer service. Although it didn’t last as long as it should have the seller stands by its product.

Simple install working as expected I Replaced the original with a cheaper one that only lasted me 5 months so I am hoping that the extra money spent will pay off .

Bought for a spare . My current PowerWell is about 5 years old and still working . I like that it is the correct diameter for my ac unit.

The symptom I had was that the fan on the outdoor unit was not running. I had read that the most common cause of problems was the capacitor, and removing the cover, I could see that the top of the capacitor was badly corroded and bulging (sign of a bad capacitor) and there was even a mouse skeleton there. I entered the number from the capacitor in the unit and this is one that came up. This product was an exact fit for the A/C capacitor (size, number of terminals, capacitance and voltage rating), so no futzing with getting it to stay in place. When replacing, it is useful to remove the old one, leaving the wires connected (make sure you have the power turned off and discharge the old capacitor before starting). I had to clean my old capacitor top to see the labels for the terminals. Once I did that, I removed one wire at a time and connected it to the new capacitor. For one of the wires, I had to replace the wire connector (it was corroded and almost disconnected), but other than that it was an easy replacement. I started up the A/C and it ran, I put all of the covers back and was done.
