This humidifier quicker resolved the dry air condition in our bedroom caused by the winter furnace operation drying out the house air to under 20% humidity. When the humidity gets this low, we start experiencing nose bleeds, sore throats, dry eye conditions and damage to drywall and painted surfaces in the house. Our bedroom has over 3600cubic feet of volume (18x18x11) to "treat" and this little silent machine does the job quickly. It is so easy to control the amount of mist leaving the tank. At first we set the dial to max and it almost like a fog beset us. Then, after running through a tank, we dialed down the mist setting to half to maintain the room's comfort level. And, the amazing fact is that it is so quiet that, unless you go up to it to check the mist being ejected, you cannot tell its running. The mist is extremely fine. I discovered that when I sense my sinuses drying out, I'll lean my face into the mist for three or four deep breaths and the sinuses clear. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! We got the large size for just the bedroom but, now we are thinking about getting more units to replace the noisy "swamp" vaporizing humidifier we've been using for the whole house for years. Sure glad we discovered this product! We'll keep watching to see if LEVOIT offers an even larger capacity unit in the future. if they do, we'll be ordering it!

I wrote a huge book about indoor air quality and during that process I learned quite a bit. One of the biggest factors of indoor air quality is humidity. The ideal range is somewhere around 50%. If it goes below you are going to have a higher likelihood of static, dry sinuses and eyes. Too wet and mites and mold grow easily. If humidity is your concern will this product solve it? Yes and no. This thing definitely releases water into the air. I have humidity monitors in a few rooms and in any open, large room, this device is simply far too small to make any difference. In small spaces like a bedroom it works quite well, but without any humidity sensors there is no way to know if you have added sufficient humidity. It's all manual in that regard. Therefore it's less ideal. If you need a humidity monitor switchbot and govee sell affordable, accurate models right here on Amazon. Who is this humidifier for? This thing is basically a large essential oil diffuser. The instructions state to put it in the base. I have smaller ones I use and they work in the same way, but this puts out a LOT of mist. I highly recommend looking into Forest Bathing. The author of the research found that using hinoki essential oil gave many of the same benefits as visiting a forest. Specifically it helped natural killer cells to be more effective. Essential oils also inhibit mold and bacteria. I think this device would he ideal for that purpose as it puts out a lot of vapor. Smaller units often can't get the oils and vapor far from the unit. A second benefit is negative ion generation. There are documented benefits to being near sources of negative ions. Ideally a large source such as an ocean. However even warm showers produce negative ions. Many people can attest to the relaxation benefits of a shower, beach, or waterfall. Negative ions are generated by water molecules breaking apart. Proponents of negative ion generation often recommend a tabletop fountain. This machine uses ultrasonic waves to break water particles down into a very fine mist. I suspect it generates a substantial amount of negative ions. I feel better standing near this machine. I feel relaxed, less stressed, less tired. Negative ions are a feature of forests, and forests are scientifically proven tool to aid healing and improve health. Ideally you will choose to visit an actual forest, but if you can't, using elements of forest environments can help being the forest to you. Those include cypress or pine essential oils (these oils are the tree's immune system and you can borrow them to help your own), negative ions (improved air quality, anti inflammatory, etc) , sunlight (vitamin D, collagen production, circadian rhythm regulation, improved sleep, immune function) green light (reduces pain signals) grounding (reduces regulation), and blue sky (circadian rhythm adjustments). While this won't help you cover all of your bases, it will meet some of the requirements needed to replicate a forest.

The Levoit Dual 150 is the best humidifier I have ever had - and I have owned many over the years. What do I like about it: - It is the most quiet product. It is used in the bedroom so that is important to me. - It is so easy to add water to because I only have to lift off the top and pour more water in. No more turning it over and struggling with unscrewing a top that is suctioned on. - It has an automatic turnoff. I appreciated that yesterday when I left it on all day when I was gone. - It has an adjustible flow - I can turn it to whatever volume of humidity I want. - the size is perfect for where I have placed it. I highly recommend this dehumidifier.

Love this humidifier. It's easy to fill and clean and works great. My only issue is that the top coating on the black ring has flaked off. Why is this happening? Should I be concerned?

I've been in a complicated relationship with humidifiers. My last one had a temperature readout, a humidity display, and four buttons I had to locate by feel at 2 a.m. like a submarine navigator. THE TANK SITUATION Levoit claims the 3-liter reservoir will get you three nights between refills. In my experience, it's closer to two. I can only assume I sleep more than the average person, or the marketing team sleeps less. Either way, two nights between fills is still perfectly fine, and I suspect if you run it on lower mist output you might stretch it further. The fill experience itself is genuinely improved. The whole top comes off and the tank is small enough to fill right at the bathroom sink. My previous humidifier had a reservoir the size of a small aquarium — I had to carry a pitcher of water across the room like I was rationing supplies during a siege. OPERATION One knob controls mist output. A 360° nozzle lets you direct the mist wherever you want it. That's the whole control panel. No app. No schedule. No WiFi. The auto-shutoff when the tank runs dry is a thoughtful touch — you won't wake up to a machine groaning at 4 a.m. NOISE I didn't mention this earlier because there wasn't much to say: it's quiet. You notice it briefly when you turn it on, and then you stop noticing it. It's whisper quiet. AESTHETICS The design is clean and unobtrusive. It blends into the room rather than declaring itself. For something that runs all night on your nightstand, that's exactly what you want. THE DIFFUSER FEATURE The product listing mentions you can add essential oils to a base chamber and use this as a 2-in-1 diffuser and humidifier. I haven't tested this personally, so I can't speak to how well it works — but if aromatherapy is part of your sleep routine, it's worth exploring. VALUE Can't beat the value. I paid less than expected. BREATHING IMPROVEMENT My wife swears she sleeps better and breathes better when we run it. BOTTOM LINE If you want a humidifier that does its job without requiring a learning curve or a second glance at the manual, this one delivers. The tank claim is slightly optimistic, but two nights of uninterrupted sleep before a quick sink refill is a reasonable trade. Sometimes the best feature is the one you don't have to think about.

This is a terrific little humidifier. It's easy to fill and is very quiet. It keeps the humidity in the room where we keep our violins right where we want it. No complaints.

This product delivers all it says and more. I use distilled water. Clean up is so simple. Easy to use. I love it. I can adjust the humidity to my comfort level. Does not leak. It is a perfect size for our bedroom and it emits a cool vapor but does not make the room cold. Very happy with this product. Would highly recommend

This humidifier is pretty user friendly, quiet and effective… BUT it accumulates mold/mildew rapidly. It’s also easy to refill it. The water that gets sucked into the bottom base part is always in there, even after the machine reads empty and kicks off. Pink mold/mildew grows down in there. Even when you leave the top off when it’s not in use it happens. Due to the design, there are a lot of little cracks and crevices to clean the pink mold off of/inside of. I wish I could return it but I am past my date. I don’t want to spread moldy air into my home.
