OM SYSTEM Olympus BLX-1 Replacement Lithium Ion Battery for OM-1 Camera

There is no comparison in quality and service between expensive oem camera batteries like these and the knock offs, but I still use knock offs like Wasabi Power which are fine for the price because I need a lot of batteries, but when you can get the oem batteries on a good sale like I did in this case jump at it and get them.

With the computing power of the OM system cameras coming out The batteries just don't last that long it's not a knock on the batteries just be aware you want more than two on you if you are going to do any moderate to extensive picture taking using ProCapture using silent high speed image capturing and all the other computational features still worth it get the battery grip and you'll do better I have a Sony A1 Sony a9 and have had multiple zicon z cameras, and in simiar shooting, situations they all asked about the same and the Olympus or OM system now still does more computationally than the competition just no one likes micro four thirds but it has its place and it's a lot of fun

I needed an extra battery. Nothing worse on a photo shoot than to have a battery run out and not have a spare. I have one now.

Although more expensive, OM System batteries hold their charge longer than some 3rd party batteries. Two of the four 3rd party batteries I purchased with my OM-1 only last about 1/2 as long as OM System batteries. Since it is hard to tell which batteries will be comparable, I replaced them with OM System batteries.

It's original equipment but expensive.

Battery appeared to be new but was made in 2022, so is 2 to 3 years old. I generally expected batteries at this price to be fresh and made within the last 6 months. Not sure whether this affects longevity but lithium ion batteries degrade with time. Price was full OEM price from OM System. Not impressed. Delivered on time and in original packaging.

This battery is displayed and has the marking on it that suggest it is a genuine OM systems product. However, when placed in my OM1 the display says "use genuine battery."

Does not fit

Akku ist sehr gut, aber auch relativ teuer. Er ist aber nun mal nötig, wenn man eine weitere, verlässliche Stromversorgung für die Kamera haben möchte.
