Sonic The Hedgehog 2-Movie Collection [Blu-ray]

I gave 5 stars because I don't want to devalue the product. The item itself is great. For a low price you get two blu-ray discs, each with a movie and special features, and a digital copy of each movie. The problem is in how Amazon is selling this item. If you check the AI overview for reviews and the review tags, you'll probably notice the trend of missing digital codes. The digital codes are supposed to be provided on one of two paper inserts (the other being an ad). The first copy of this item I ordered had been very clearly opened and rewrapped. Upon removing the paper sleeve over the blu-ray case (which had minor damage), I saw that the new plastic wrap had been cut down the side opening. Popping it open without removing the plastic, I could see that both of the paper inserts were missing. Removing the plastic just to make sure, I opened the case fully and they were definitely not there. I requested a replacement citing that the item was not in New condition. The next copy to arrive was missing the paper sleeve entirely and was ALSO rewrapped. In fact, some of the original plastic wrapping was still stuck to the case inside the new layer of wrapping and was very obvious once the new plastic wrap was removed. However, this one did, at least, have the digital codes included and the blu-ray discs worked in my player, so I decided I was done trying to fight Amazon over this. Both copies were shipped from/sold by Amazon directly, which means that the gutted copies that everyone keeps getting are coming directly from Amazon's warehouse(s), most likely gutted by some employee(s) there. If you order this item from Amazon (seller), beware the stated "New" condition, as you will almost certainly be receiving a previously-opened copy that may not include the digital codes at all. If you DO get one with the codes, you can ignore the date for the codes to remain valid. Mine still worked despite being past the date.

For starters, these movies make me appreciate living at the same time that Jim Carrey has been performing in so many entertaining roles. These Sonic movies make you realize how truly one of a kind he is an entertainer. The rest of the cast gives inspired performances as well, they don't phone it in as so many do for family movies. The fun doesn't end when Carrey leaves the screen. Sonic himself is more nuanced than the typical family movie protagonist, Marsden has fun with his role (it reminds me of his performance in Interstate 60), I haven't seen Sumpter in anything else, but she has a lot of fun with her role as well. If you want family friendly movies that are sweet without giving you cavities, that you'll enjoy as much as the kids do, these movies are what you are looking for.

Good kids movies. We enjoy watching these with our kids and they have a blast. There's action, but not too much violence, and there are good themes. There is a stray word here and there that I might have preferred not to have (D- and H-words) but they go by so quickly that I don't think my kids have even noticed. If they do, it will just be a good opportunity to explain that some words are impolite. But the movies are fun adventures with plenty of humor.

Disclaimer: I grew up with Sonic in the early 90s, and despite a ton of not-so-great games in his library, I will still throw Sonic 2 into my SEGA Genesis and play it for fun. So, when these movies hit the theaters, I had to be there, and they were worth every penny. The blue blur has garnered films that have a family charm, do not go too into the kid's realm (as they even made me, in my older age, laugh), and Jim Carrey chews the scenery so well! These are great lazy day films and fun for everyone. The package includes both films and all their extras as well. Totally worth the purchase!

I bought the Sonic The Hedgehog 2‑Movie Collection [Blu‑ray] for my daughter because she absolutely loves these films. The Blu‑ray packaging is nice, the discs look high quality, and both movies are excellent family entertainment — funny, fast‑paced, and great for kids and adults alike. Physically, the set feels solid and the artwork is attractive on the shelf. The video and audio quality on Blu‑ray are strong, with crisp visuals and clear sound — exactly what you want from a modern Blu‑ray release. My only issue: I was hoping to redeem the digital movies on MoviesAnywhere.com, so we could watch them easily on multiple devices. Unfortunately, that didn’t work for me. The codes would only redeem through Apple TV/Apple TV app, which is great if you’re already in that ecosystem — but it wasn’t the universal option I expected. I tried to add them to MoviesAnywhere but it didn’t go through, so I ended up using Apple TV instead. That said, if your priority is simply having physical copies with reliably great picture and sound, this set delivers. And kids absolutely love watching Sonic again and again. The two‑movie combo also makes this a good gift or family collection item. Pros: Great entertainment — fun for kids and families Excellent Blu‑ray video and audio quality Attractive, sturdy packaging Works well on Apple TV Cons: Digital redemption didn’t sync with MoviesAnywhere as I expected — only Apple TV Overall, this is a solid purchase for any Sonic fan or family movie night. Just be aware that the digital redemption might not work on every platform the way you hope.

We love the Sonic movies. Fun for all ages! These movies were a great price and have provided entertainment for rainy days for our family.

Estoy encantadísima con mi compra. El pack esta espectacular. Nos incluye una caja de cartón con arte bien bonito, dentro vienen dos cajas de metal con las películas, las cuales cada caja tiene 2 discos (4 discos en total). También las cajitas de metal tienen fotos muy buenas conmemorativas de cada película. La verdad son muy buenas películas, confirmo los discos son blue ray y vienen varios idiomas. Nada mas tomen en consideracion que 2 de los discos, son Blue Ray de 4k es decir, necesitaran un reproductor blue ray a 4k para leerlos. Yo lo compre para coleccionar asique en mi caso eso no influye demaciado, pero si las quieren para verlas y no tiene reproductor 4k estaran desperdiciando.

Vienen en español latino y se ven muy bien, en especial la segunda.

Can't go wrong with 2 steelbook with 4k, Blu-ray and digital code(if you have iTunes). Cardboard sleeve that holds them is fine, nothing special. The movies themselves, you're a fan or you're not lol, if you are and want to own them, this is a good deal.
