Generator Interlock Kit Compatible with ITE, Siemens, Gould and murray150 or 200Amp Panel, 1 1/4 Inch Spacing Between Main Circuit Breaker and Generator Circuit Breaker, Electrical Interlock Kit

I needed to install an interlock kit on my Cutler Hammer 200-amp vertical throw panel so I could safely connect my home battery backup (an Anker Solix F3800). My photo shows that the interlock is a perfect fit for my panel, and it does its one job of not allowing the main breaker and the generator inlet breaker to be enabled at the same time. I had the interlock and the 50 amp generator inlet beside it installed by a local electrician for about $150. Now I have a whole-house battery backup that's a little less automatic than a Tesla Powerwall or a Generac whole-house generator, but it was a fraction of the cost to set this up.

Easy to install. We hooked up our own generator to be used in case of emergencies and this product was easy to install as a safety backup!

So glad I stumbled across an article talking about these. Now I can connect my generator right to the house and power everything I need without 100 extension cords running everywhere and having to pig tail certain hardwired items (hot water heater, ceiling fans). I did have to cut about 1/16 of an inch off the plate for it to work with my box, but that took like 30 seconds with a hacksaw and a file to do.

We installed this interlock kit fairly quickly, however the directions verses the product didn’t quite match. It fit into the slot of the breaker panel and provides peace of mind. Overall we are happy with the kit.

Note that there can be different configurations, put your Tetris hat on. For mine, switching off Electric Utility allows interlock to fall and unblock circuit breaker for Portable Generator. Simple, solid design. Recommended!
