The author explains AWS concepts with the detail you won't get from sitting through an AWS Cloud Practitioner prep class. The labs are thorough AND the author covers how to shut down the lab resources when you're done with each lab. That saves you money if you use a live AWS account for training. There's no hands-on portion for the exam, but working through labs adds context to the material. Otherwise, you're just committing endless AWS services and their use cases to memory. That's no fun.

This is a very well made book, very detailed with a lot of real life examples. It helped me through my learning journey. I got my CCP recently and the book was one of the reasons I passed.
