Awesome Speaker for the Price—Better Than Many Costing Double
The Anker Soundcore 2 Portable Bluetooth Speaker with Stereo Sound has far exceeded my expectations. It delivers and impressive clear sound backed by 12 watts of power to two 1.7" speakers (6 watts x 2). The Soundcore 2 also stays charged for the 24 hours as advertised which is unmatched in a speaker this size. I was lucky enough to get the black colored speaker for $27.99 when it was on sale making it an even better bargain. The size makes it easy to transport and can be on standby to use at a small party, on the beach, lake, etc. Just connect to your smartphone, laptop, or any other device that transmits with Bluetooth. I should also add that the speaker quality as far as the build is excellent with a micro thin layer of rubber making it easy to hold onto and water resistant.

Very portable and versatile speaker
This is a good option if you're looking for a highly portable speaker-- it's roughly the size of a case for glasses! The sound quality is solid for everything from listening to music to watching shows, and I love that it can be used with either bluetooth or auxiliary input (I specifically needed an aux speaker to use with my portable monitor.) The battery life is pretty solid, and it charges reasonably quickly. The maximum volume could leave something to be desired-- as others have mentioned, this is not a 'party speaker,' but for everyday personal use in a home or office environment, it's perfectly acceptable. I paid ~$30 for it on sale, and I think that's a good asking price-- I think if I had paid much more for it, I would be disappointed with the volume, but for my needs and its other benefits over larger, louder speakers, I am satisfied with this speaker and would recommend it. If you don't need something portable and big volume is important to you, it might be worth it to look into larger options.

Compact and loud.
I actually bought this for the purpose of hooking up to my Ghostbusters proton pack (Which I did), but I also like to play music through it whenever it's not on my pack. It gets pretty loud which I like, the buttons are easy to use, very self explanatory, it feels really sturdy and has taken a couple of beatings, and the battery life lasts a while. It's worth the money and I'm happy with it.

Preacical, economical & easy to use
If you want an economical speaker that's easy to use and produces good sound, i recommend this. I'm giving it 4 stars because it comes with sketchy instructions. I have an older laptop and wasn't sure what to expect, being my 1st experience with bluetooth. It paired right up and I was off and running. I can take this almost anywhere in the house including the basement and it keeps good, undistorted sound. I just wanted something that can be easily carried, is water-resistant and practical. I'd recommend this to old ladies like myself who like uncomplicated stuff. It even has large, raised symbols on buttons for all 5 functions, great for people with imapired vision. Seems sturdy & a charge lasts me all day. Sounds when it's powered up, down.& successfully connected. GREAT alternative to headphones.

This tiny powerhouse will blow you away
This speaker is an absolute powerhouse. I was not expecting such full and rich sound out of this tiny device. I listen to a lot of bass driven acapella sounds and good lord, the sound quality is on par with my top end headphones. The control scheme on this device is fantastic. It's 5 buttons and super intuitive. Its easy to set up and use right out of the box. It's small, and portable yet big on sound. It will go everywhere with you. I do have 1 nitpick for it. When I took mine out of the box and plugged it in to charge, it went into pairing mode and made a weird wooshing sound. That in itself isn't bad, but I went to turn the device off (since I wasn't ready to pair right at that moment) and while it turned off for the moment, it turned back on and entered pairing mode again. It wouldn't actually turn off until I paired a device. All in all, this speaker is the best value for the money I think I have gotten out of all the various audio equipment I have purchased. It's right in line with all the other products Anker makes.

Fantastic portable Bluetooth speaker
I bought the Anker Soundcore 2 portable Bluetooth speaker with stereo sound to use with my PC, tablet, Echo Show, and cell phone. The setup takes only a few minutes. Connects to all of my Bluetooth devices without issue. The speaker contains a built-in mic and the ability to control volume, pause playback, and answer phone calls. The speaker is compact and well-designed, and the sound quality is exceptional for its size. The battery life is rather impressive. The Bluetooth range is fantastic. It covers my entire house and even a portion of my backyard. I'm very impressed. Excellent value for the money.

Love My New Toy Speaker!
If you enjoy music loud and clear, this little guy is for you. There is a lot to like. Solid, well-engineered piece. Simple to pair, controls are intuitive (power, volume +/-, next, pairing with Bluetooth. Also offers an AUX IN mini-phone plug for your wired devices. Phone call handling is straightforward. What you will notice: Web photos make it look like a mini-soundbar. It's smaller than that. For the form factor, think "oversized stick of black rubber butter". Slips inconspicuously into a backpack or suitcase. Sound: Working in the yard? Loud enough for that. Friends on the deck? Clean enough for that. Need a little kitchen music? Good for that. Potty break during a podcast? Portable enough for that. Do you get splashy in the bathroom? OK for that. Holds a charge for as long as you can stay awake. Now for the sound: It is not for kick and sizzle. They designed a box that would sound great for its size. If you like numbers, it's tuned to deliver in the 200 Hz-5KHz range. Reviews mentioning great bass are exaggerations. We have hot tub that gurgles like crazy when the pump is running. I have a great Sony Bluetooth speaker that I take out there and it doesn't outblast the tub. This Anker does. That's impressive. I have purchased an assortment of Anker brand stuff. Cables, chargers, etc. They consistently make/market good stuff. If you want to hang a few words on this speaker: Value. Practical. Decent. And $30 during Prime days.

Lower Your Expectations
I don't often write reviews, and I'm not breaking my silence because this thing is horrible. I wouldn't go that far. But the description and the reviews are misleading, for sure. I believe this thing would be great if you were in a contained environment like a bathroom or something. Also, be sure that this thing is pointing directly at your ears. If you move off to the side at all, the sound quality degrades. The bass isn't what you'd expect from all the people raving about it. It's not the worst bass ever, but it's definitely not as good as people are saying. Maybe they're just surprised there's ANY bass coming out of something so small? I couldn't say. I've had a DOSS Soundbox for 5 years now and it puts out FAR richer sound than this does, and you don't have to be sitting directly in front if it in the bathroom for it to sound good. If you plan on being out on the patio chatting with friends, this isn't gonna do it. Again, not horrible. I just want to set the proper expectations for this one. I am personally returning this item, but only because I already have something that is better, even if it's an inch or so bigger. Check out the DOSS Soundbox. You'll be happier.
