Situo 5 Pure Remote - RTS Control for Up to 5 Motorized Shades or Groups - Compatible with RTS Motors, Blinds, Shades - Not Compatible with Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi - Warm Pure Tone 1870575

My original 5 channel remote stopped working on channel 1, so I bought this one as a replacement/2nd remote. There are some comments here about difficulty in programming/pairing this remote. The instructions that came with the new remote are inadequate at best. After quite a bit of research, I found out there are 2 ways to program the remote when it is the 1st or only remote and a 3rd way to program a replacement/2nd remote. Once I figured out how to add my remote to the shades it worked perfectly. My only suggestion for Somfy would be to make videos on the different programming procedures and list the links on the instructions or add links to the Amazon page.

I bought this to replace the original remote which was destroyed due to water damage. New remote was easy to set up and is working great.

My two retractable awings are controlled by a Somfy five-channel remote. There is no alternate way to control the awnings if the controller ever broke. I felt needed a backup. After some googling I discovered that my original Telis remote had been replaced by a Situo remote. For whatever reason these units are quite pricey and I was worried that I was ordering the right thing. Turns out all is good. The Telis and Situo units are indeed interchangable at least in my application. But I agree with other reviewers that the user documentation that comes along with the remote is hard to figure out and is incomplete. The only way I was able to get the new remote to work was with YouTube and Google searches. And even then, the Somfy video for how to "cut and paste" in order to use the old remote to program the new one omitted a subtle but key step.

This Somfy device works well. The instructions to pair with another Somfy device are VERY poor. Thankfully, I had a a tech close by that did it The process to pair is actually very simple, which makes poor instructions even more unacceptable.

This product has instructions in about 8 languages along with pictures, all of which make zero sense to the average human. There is NO viable contact information, just a form to fill out and "they" will get back to you. My form went 5 business days and still no answer. If your shades do not pair immediately, then you are lost. An additional warning, if you look them up via google, the first site takes you to an Australian site with an overseas number. Finding the number for the US resulted in being read a message to use the form and get hung up on. Save yourself the grief and call your local vendor. Returned and do not recommend.

Works perfect as a replacement for our sunsetter oasis :)

The older version of SOMFY was discontinues so this helps so much in a 2 channel shade

The container was a bit rough, as though it had been opened before but the controller was fine & packaged in a poly wrap as expected. It works fine.
