Does this platform fold down for packing in and out? of the woods

Yes, it folds flat. Works great too, just tried it out this week.

Could this be flipped upside down in any way and used to sit on at the base of a tree?

dont waste your money...... my son used it twice and it broke at the weld and they would not respond to me when I asked about replacement

What size screw is used that attaches the bracket to the post?

DO NOT BUY IT, my son used it 2 times and it broke dont waste your money they only have a 30 day return and it was bought before deer season as a early Christmas gift and they have not returned any reply after asking for pictures so they suck!!!!!! it was not made well to put your life in jeopardy,
