Not as advertised, Poor construction
Gelid splitter cable is presented as being able to run up to four PWM fans via one motherboard PWM fan port, or w/o PWM via one Molex power supply connection. I ordered two of the cables, neither would power any amount of fans via any motherboard fan connector. Fans themselves would power and adjust speed individually via PWM signal when directly connected to any motherboard fan port. Only one of the four splits on each cable had a 4-pin connector, the others only had 3-pin connectors. Construction was cheap and shoddy, with both the main sleeve not being fully heat shrunk to the connector ends leaving the small internal wires sticking out and loose to support each connector head, and the mesh overwrap pulling from the main sleeve with no effort.Wound up being able to power all six case fans by one PWM motherboard port via daisy chaining the fans (each fan had a main 4-pin PWM connector and an extension 4-pin PWM port to power another fan), which I don't like doing due to the power output from one port, and I prefer separating the cool air pull fans and the hot air exhaust fans to different PWM signals. Unfortunately, due to the layout of the PWM fan connectors on the motherboard being used, and the short power/signal wires coming from each fan, only one case fan was within range of a motherboard fan port, but each fan was close enough to each other to chain them all. Hence the need for the splitters. Ultimately returned both of these Gelid splitter cables for a refund via Amazon Prime returns (so I didn't have to deal with any RMA process or pushback from the manufacturer itself), leaving the fans daisy chained while I wait for two new splitters from another manufacturer to arrive.

Works
This cable enables you to connect 4 PWM fans to a single motherboard header. Power for the fans comes directly from the computer's power supply, but the control signal from the motherboard is split to the four fans. I had a few these for a year now, and they have worked flawlessly.

Great Product
Order these (very hard to find) to get rid of a bunch of adapters in my case (cosmos 2 with Vegas trio fans). Now everything is sleeved, uniform, and working great. They're well built and good looking. Thought i would have to order from .overseas but good ole Amazon had what i needed once again!

Good product
Liked the product worked great, but the thing I didnt like was that 3 of the 4 pins didn't actually bring 4 pins it brought 3 but even without it the fans worked great and ships very fast. Great product for good price

Ideal solution
What Can I say. A recent build I did had seven case fans. This was the ideal solutioin for geting power to all the fans. Only problem I can see is that in some applications this could be to short. In my build though this was not a problem.

Doesn't work as advertised in my humble opinion
Perhaps I'm not as tech-savvy as I first should have been and didn't read the description as thoroughly as I should have done but I was under the impression that the female connector would plug into the 4 pin fan sys on the motherboard and then feed power to the other fans plugged into the adapter. This is simply not the case, it doesn't get power from the two socketed female connector and you have to plug the Molex part into your system and this leaves you with zero control over the RPM of the fans, even in DC mode.Ultimately this is just a shining example of how strangely backward the PC building industry is and how much it hasn't changed since the '90s or indeed earlier. It's unbelievable that cases and motherboards and the peripheral wiring that comes with it is so unfriendly. I'm not saying its impossible to do because it's not, I just can't believe I'm still, nearly thirty years on, having to line up fragile female connectors to equally fragile male pins on the motherboard and no matter how well you tidy wires up they are still floating around to some degree. This case was brand new and it still doesn't have universal usb ports, you still have to insert the usb device the correct way into the port, its just little things like that which are unbeliavable.

Ok if you want to power a few extra fans but not if you want to monitor them!
I ordered this as the cable to my side case corsair fan cable is quite short and every time I opened up my rig (which is regularly) it came out the mobo socket, this is a pain for me as I run SLI and the cards obscure the socket so many minutes are then spent fiddling to get it back in. I also wanted to hook up more fans to it.As it has a number of so called Pwm compatible connectors, I decided to hook up the 2 front of case corsair fans to tidy up cabling as well as the side fan, this was a mistake. It turns out that one cable was faulty and the PWM only works on one of the fans! As soon as I plug those fans back into the mobo then Pwm monitoring started working again on those fans so it has been relegated to just extending the cable to the side fan, clearly this is Overkill for one fan and now i have unwanted cabling inside my case. Grrr! For the hassle of paying for postage for return I am not going to bother to send this back. Just beware that this cable may not work exactly as advertised.

dubious quality but does what its supposed to (after re attaching the molex plug and tying the fans into the sockets)
the quality of this is a some what dubious. i purchased two of these and the molex plugs fell off both while testing.although i had planned to rout both through a single molex plug to power 6 fans and use pwm to control spin speed.so for me it wasn't a massive issue that they fell apart.what is more irritating though is that the plugs that the fans attach to are poor and have a habit of separating while i installed them.this was resolved by tying the cable loom with Velcro ties but still irritating, i guess you could use hot glue but i was reluctant to use this on £150 worth of Noctua fans.

Works as expected.
I have a lot of fans in my system so its very important to supply them with molex power to avoid blowing out the ports on my fan controller (which I have done). This works brilliant. Passes the fan speed signal back without issue.
