Searching For Truth
Search for Truth: A Review of Unearthing the Lost World of the Cloud Eaters Is everything commonly understood in early human history wrong? Darwinian theories of world history have been dominant since the late 19th Century. John Wesly Powel, director of the Bureau of Ethnology in the late 19th century was a predominant proponent of isolationism. Dr. Horn and Steve Quayle make daring and outlandish claims in their new book; Unearthing the Lost World of the Cloud Eaters directly challenging the isolationistic theory. Shockingly, Quayle and Horn claim that a race of non-human entities had an advanced civilization on earth, before human advancement. Furthermore, they claim this sophisticated culture is responsible for building the megalithic structures used by the ancient empires. Moreover, the influence of this technology is the primary influence on early human societies and some religion. At first glance, this book appears to be an attempt to capitalize on shock and fear. Moreover, the authors use self-fulfilling prophesies to support their claims when only circumstantial evidence is available. Conversely, if a reader moves past the negative appearance and evaluates the work without bias research of this nature has the potential of changing collective knowledge. Quayle and Horn present hard evidence that challenges academic assumptions. I took this journey as a skeptic. I evaluated this work from a skeptic's perspective with a military law enforcement background. I implore you to make the same trip from your point of view. Quayle and Horn perspectives and research are based Biblical foundations of understanding and their Christian faith. The researchers utilize ancient texts beyond just the bible. They give the reader sighted and documented translations from the earliest writing to support their pre-history narrative. Surprisingly, their work is not a bible lesson in history. A majority of the cited textual evidence is outside of what would be considered traditional Christian theology. Physical evidence presented from archaeological records and their expeditions focus on understanding out of place artifacts (Ooparts).Quayle uses the biblical book of Genesis as a reference for pre-Adamic theories of the earth including brief exegeses of some critical old testament texts; addressing some significant questions of both the Darwinian and creation theories. However, Quayle relies so heavily on his faith that the hard-scientific evidence that is present will be difficult for a secular audience's unbiased evaluation. Quayle's strength and weakness is his faith. If the reader does not believe that the Bible is a truthful document that dates back to (4500 bc ca), then some of his argument would be automatically disregarded. Quayle does an excellent job of including some of the oldest known archeological evidence to corroborate his theory of a pre-Adamic or a pre-human world. Conversely, this would coincide with Darwinian philosophies of an extremely old Earth. Additionally, the pre-adamic civilization theory can find support in most known ancient societal beliefs. Ironically, the idea of a pre-human civilized world will be the most challenging aspect of validation in both Darwinian and creationistic perspectives.Early in the book Quayle compares conventional Egyptological beliefs and Egyptian records. His re-discoveries are shocking, making claims that Egyptians once inhabited the Western United States. The land of Ophir (second land of Egypt) has been a mystery to researchers for many years. The author expands on the theory that the land of Ohpir was near the Grand Canyon. He connects historical records of archeological finds in three different locations Kincaid's cave, Powell's Cave, and Burrow's Cave. Discoveries from the 19th and early 20th centuries, not validated by the Smithsonian, are always considered controversial in academia. Quayle claims to be working on verifying additional evidence linking Ancient Egypt and the South-Western U.S.Beliefs of the Great Pyramid site constructed during the 4th dynasty around 2500BC is a dominant academic theory. Quayle sights the work of Robert Bauval and Graham Hancock comparing astronomical ages that could give an accurate construction period of the buildings. After an in-depth discussion of the construction abnormalities of the Great Pyramid that would seem impossible to recreate with modern technology. A notable discovery using astrological computer modeling expanded the concept of improbable construction. Over a thousand years before the 4th dynasty, during the celestial age of Leo, the pyramids would align precisely with Orion's belt with the Sphinx looking directly at the constellation of Leo. It is doubtful this type of alignment would have been by accident or coincidence. Understandably, this one piece of evidence alone isn't enough to change current dogma. Quayle has conducted a scavenger hunt of multiple abnormalities citing over 300 credible sources. Abraham Lincoln spoke openly of giants living in the midwestern United States. The book of Genesis in the Old Testament records ancient Giants. As the work of the authors unfolds, a question builds in the mind of the reader. Did the ancient mythological monsters indeed exist? Where are the bones of the Giants? Quayle and Horn make persuasive arguments that ancient humans could not have constructed the significant megalithic buildings of the past. They present the detailed analysis of the precision of construction and perfect celestial alignments. Structures of this nature with modern technology would be nearly impossible to assemble. How did man, just after crawling out of caves according to Darwinians, learn astrological alignments that have only been recently re-discovered with satellite technology? Were the builders the giants? Even some of the significant minds of our current age have begun to challenge the dogma of the past notably, the alien seed theory of Hawking.Horn builds on Quayle's hypothesis more technically. The difference of writing styles between the authors is noticeable. Horn's focus is on ancient civilizations in early America. He identifies conflict with the tribal nations in the western US and cannibalistic giants. Horn traveled and met with Native American leaders to record first-hand the oral traditions still passed down to this day. Again, the question of where are the bones of these "Giants" consume and may anger the reader.Major publications from Arizona to the New York Times have covered archeological discoveries of gigantic human remains. The Smithsonian's records of the finds are sketchy and obscure, however documentation of the institution’s internal correspondence describing the finds do exist. A specific team was assembled by John Wesley Powel to uncover the mound people of abnormal stature. Horn included copies of newspaper clippings and Smithsonian correspondence from the late 19th early 20th centuries supporting his claims. Horn's documentation further endorses the eyewitness accounts of the early explorers in South America. Benal Diaz recorded seeing bones of abnormal height. Sir Francis Drake in 1578 described seeing men over seven feet tall in the new world. Anthony Knyvet visited the same area in 1592 and recorded seeing people as tall as 12 feet. Magellan's fleet, cited by Horn, saw giants when approaching the Port of San Julian. Accounts from Magellan's crew stated he (the Giant) was so tall their heads barely came to its waist and had the voice like a bull. As late as 1764 Commodore Bryon recoded Giants near the location of those accounts. The authors use these multiple eyewitness records as evidence to support their factuality. Numerous eyewitness accounts from men of importance, different cultural backgrounds, and a separation of almost 200 years with similar reports would lead any scholar to conclude that something had to have been abnormal in that area. Horn is prudent to identify miss information and fraudulent recordings in addition to the sensational discoveries.Horn gives an in-depth historical background of sensationalistic archeology. An outline guides reader of how to further their research after reading. He opens an archaeological evaluation of the Smithsonian Institute that gives the reader an idea of why ooparts would be cataloged away without an official study reported. A simple comparison between how the Catholic Church controlled the scientific community until the great awakening can explain the reasoning behind an oversight of such significance.Quayle and Horn both make claims of Giants and angelic civilizations from a pre-Adamic world. A great event destroying the world and then it starting again. As outlandish as these theories seem evidence presented asks questions. Why do so many OOP-arts exist, why do the essential elements of almost every ancient culture echo some basic timeline concepts that found in Genesis. Why Darwinian theory dominated science when other evidence is apparent.Ancient man knew more then we give him credit. It is apparent that in the late 1800’s throughout the United States archeologists were discovering giant human/humanoid remains. I believe Quayle and Horn could be on the cutting edge of establishing a new conceptual understanding of early human history. My experience as a Law Enforcement officer tells me that enough circumstantial and physical evidence does exist to suggest a potential cover-up or mishandling of archeological evidence. The Genesis narrative purposed by Quayle and Horn has as much validity from my perspective as commonly held academic dogma. The motive for a cover-up is unclear, but human nature cannot be ignored. I believe because of people like the authors of this book signal a new age of historical knowledge on the horizon.

A fascinating, full-spectrum romp through the lost world of giants, ancient civilizations, prophecies and conspiracies
Unearthing the Lost World of the Cloudeaters is the latest compilation of marginal mysteries examined from a Biblical worldview by dual authors, Steve Quayle and Dr. Thomas Horn (publisher of Defender books). The basic premise of the book is that most of the world's marginal mysteries, from UFOs to ancient mythologies to pyramids to lost civilizations to Native American spirituality to Bigfoot to the global conspiracy to modern mysteries such as the CERN research facility to star portals, are evidence of a lost civilization of angels and giants that began in the pre-Adamic cosmos, re-established itself on earth after the fall, cursed the antediluvian age and re-emerged in this present, post-flood age by the occultic and technological machinations of secret societies... Whew! If that sounds like a mouthful, it is and was meant to be, because this book really does delve into everything. So if you are into researching this kind of stuff (like me) you are in for a treat. But if you are new to these topics, or a fairly novice level convert to the Biblical examination of such topics, you may want to read something less comprehensive first. I really had fun reading this book and for that reason I can overlook many of its issues and award it four stars. However, that is not to say that this book isn't without some major flaws. First of all, it's really two books, with the first part written by Steve Quayle and the second part by Dr. Horn. Their writing styles are very different, with Dr. Horn being the more organized and academic of the two. But while I really enjoyed some of Dr. Horn's insights, especially on Native American spirituality, Smithsonian Institution history and Freemasonry, by his own admission much of his material is copied from his other books. Steve Quayle, on the other hand, has some very interesting things to write about CERN and star portals but he gets bogged down at the beginning of Part 1 with a discussion of the pre-Adamic age from Genesis 1:1-2. This so-called gap theory portion (which relies heavily on the work of G.H. Pember) is entirely speculative and deals with the possibility of an angelic civilization that covered the earth, or a missing planet named Rahab, or a giant comet called Nibiru, and which is still influencing the world today. If you are new to this stuff you will get lost in the sauce quickly. Quayle also seems to confuse himself by assigning some marginal mysteries to multiple ages -- pre-Adamic, antediluvian or post-flood. And some of his ideas about ancient North America rely on hoax material such as the so-called lost crypts of Egypt at the bottom of the Grand Canyon. I wondered if he'd ever read Barry Fell's America BC, which is the classic defense of diffusionism and explains many of these North American mysteries. I do appreciate Steve Quayle's passion for the scripture and the prophetic warnings he draws from his conclusions. I agree with both authors that the giants of Genesis 6 were the original bad-boys of ancient mythology and will be released to wreak havoc on the earth in the Last Days. Ignore their warnings at your peril. So if you dig reading up on these topics, can handle speculative leaps of logic that are not always logical, and don't mind the unfocused, "everything-plus-the-kitchen-sink" approach taken by the authors, you are going to really love this book. It's certainly enjoyable and well-written, although it suffers from too many typos (like many of the under-edited books in the Defender catalog). Great, fun reading and a wonderful infomercial for the incredible world of Biblically-based marginal mystery books published by Defender. Recommended.

Interesting, BUT
A though provoking read for sure. But like "ancient aliens TV show", lots of "maybe, what if's, could be" and NO PROOF - not that I REALLY expected any but....I purchased because I like some tie in with Biblical scripture. And, for example, I believe there were Giants upon the earth. But, aside from reprinted old newspaper articles, NO PROOF. The author explains there is no proof because the Smithsonian has taken possession of skeletons and other artifacts and hidden them away. Really, so they had some army of people running all over the country and taking possession, stealing, demanding people surrender these artifacts ? ALL of them ? NO ONE has dug up anything recently with all the construction / investigations in the last 50+ years I guess.Other topics about ancient construction, interesting I suppose. But suggestions these are a power source or portal... can anyone even MEASURE a micro-volt of electricity or offer ANY tangible evidence here ? Instead, they seem to either "were used for this in the past" or "waiting to be activated" at some point.I find it interesting that, all the old castles in England / Europe, all the large structures (huge churches, Roman buildings, Great wall of China, Temple Mount in Israel.. on an on) were not built by aliens ? If not, what is the proof the "older structures" were ?

Skip the 1st two hundred pages and just read Tom Horn's part.
I really enjoy reading Thomas R Horn's books but this book is two 200 page books by two different authors.Stephen Quayle is the 1st two hundred pades-I could have skipped them. Too much hear say evidence and somewhat trying to prove some far out there theories with very little evidence/reliable sources or proof for that matter.Tom Horn's part of the book, the last two hundred pages is his typical excellent standard of writing with evidence and sources.

EXCELLENT BOOK - WORTH THE READ
Great book, full of totally believable facts, as always from Thomas Horn and his associates. Huge amount of research is obvious and this book should be read by anyone who has the slightest interest in why we are as we are, what happened in the past, etc.VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDEDHave to agree with another reviewer, the title does not really explain the book - shame really.

The real history of pre America and the Earth we live on.
I found this book an interesting text book style read. America’s history goes back much further in time than we have been led to believe. I have always felt that there was at least an element of truth in the Giants etc that we were told of in fables as a child. Why has it been kept a secret?
