Considering the price of more expensive pumps that have less of a flow rate, this is a good value and I have had several of these pumps. With that being said the last one I had that was identical last somewhere between 5 to 7 years, running outdoors and being exposed to the weather. For a swimming pool pump that cost around 130 up to $180 at the time of purchase, I think that is a reasonable service life when more expensive pumps cost 500 to well over $1000. It does have self priming and will power up, but it is best when primed with water before starting the pump. The install was easy and it came with several different attachment options that made fitting it into my existing system much more manageable

Works great!!! no chemicals 6hrs from 1 extreme to another. Pictures are taken 6 hrs apart from start of pump after being off for entire winter.

Pump seem to have great quality lasted only six months and the motor burnt out tried to contact the vender They’re no longer on Amazon. Amazon did absolutely nothing for me and I lost out on the money. Had to buy a new pump.

I had a similar pump from another Chinese brand that pumped great but developed a squeal on the bearings that I had to return because it would prematurely fail I was sure. This pump like the other Chinese brand installed nicely and so far is very quiet. But I’m sure I won’t get 20 years out of this like my old Hayward pump. So at this price I’m going to buy a spear. So far it runs great lots of pressure and I’m please Life expectancy to be determined

Great quality

Only been installed for 5 days at this writing. Seems to be working well. Quality seems good. Think it was a good purchase. My only slight disappointment is that the flow rate of this 1.5 hp pump is less than my old hayward 1.0 hp pump. Running 2" pipe but the pump used 1.5 to 2" adapters. Not sure if that's the reason for less water volume. Hope it lasts as it was a lot less money than the hayward pump replacement. Will update review down the road.

My husband is all about fixing things himself, this pool pump fit perfectly, and he had nothing to complain about.

So this was a replacement since my Hayward model died after years of service.. this unit is wired for 120V and was plugged into the same dedicated outlet as its predecessor.. but it seems the unit runs hot during the peak day times, as it shuts off power every 20m to 30m.. and it has to be heat related (down in TX) because i can run it all nite with no problems During the pool season, i tend to run the pump 24/7, and maybe this unit cannot handle it, be forewarned
