My first experiment was a different type, neat idea, but clunky in use. Hard to wind and unwind. These are far better. Winding and unwinding is smooth. Much happier with these, and replacing the old ones.

Doesn’t work on anything but very this cords. Won’t work on most charging cords. Cheap construction.

Decided to write a review because several reviews here used the product incorrectly. I demonstrate the correct use in the above video. This device only accepts small cords - about the size of an iphone usb-c to usb-c cable, or thin earbuds cables. If your cord is flat and wide, or is sized for a Windows laptop, IT WILL NOT FIT! I would also be careful with cords over ~1.5m, they may not fit. I used a standard 1m Apple Usb C-to-C cord in my review video, so those should work just fine. You should NOT manually wind your cord with this device. You should place the center of your cord through the center line and then close the pod and twist the handle. It will wind the cord itself. When lengthening your cord, you should pull both ends at the same time so that when you rewind your cord, it will remain symmetrical. The plastic is indeed cheap, but you get what you pay for. Overall this is a very good value product for what it is, imo. Four stars because they arrived somewhat dusty; maybe they were in a warehouse for a long time.

Not big enough for cords over 3 feet IMO. It will still rewind a small diameter USB cord a little bit, but not all that much. Good for short cords. Not strong either. They pop apart very easily. Sort of flimsy and I don’t think they will last very long. Still, they do wind up short small diameter cords.

The system seems to good to be true, I was trying to hide cords in my desk for chargers like the watch, phone, ipad... these things work 'well' until you use them, when you pull from one extreme of the cord it comes out, but when you try to retract the cord back it pulls from both sides and unplug the usb. Also, they are way bigger than they look, and they do not work with the macbook pro cord.

The lock to keep them closed don’t work well! Longer cords then 4-6ft will not work for! Short cords refer to above and other comments! I used all but 2 on 4-6ft cords they work ok so far but had to tape the cases closed the locks don’t work well or at all in some cases!

This works perfectly. It is not auto retractable, as described. If properly assembled, it works. I used it for my wired mouse and it works.
