These valves look good, are easy to install, and work well. The valve stem is easy to move and shuts off the water completely. It also comes with teflon tape to prevent leaks.

I put the shutoff valve on my shower and tried it out. I did not realize how much water poured into the shower with that shower head. I used the valve to control the amount of water coming out - I liked it at just a sprinkle. Of course, besides shutting off the water, it can control the flow rate. I shut the water off when soaping up and during the shampoo. The lever rotates around and is easy to move, there is very little leakage when closed. It does save water and since water is always more expensive - it should pay for itself in several showers. The only thing I would change is to add 1/8 inch to the external threaded end of the valve since my shower head screw cap was long enough to bottom out on the thread stop. The 1/8-inch washer supplied with the valve was added to the original screen washer to seal the shower head. The supplied screen washer was used in front of the valve to the water supply. You can see, from this review, that I recommend this product.

Where I live, we pay for water. My shower was streaming like a fire hose. I wanted to reduce the water pressure only in my shower. I didn't really have much hope that this little item would work but It did !!!!! I installed it in a few minutes. It didn't leak and it exceeded my expectations. I'm hoping my ridiculously high water bill will be decreased.

This helps take care of the awful shower water restrictors. Remove the flow restrictor, then add this in. It works!

Hefty weight due to the metal rather than plastic construction. I like the slider control valve rather than rotating lever. All in all, works great.

This works so well. I'm a Sr. citizen (woman) and installed it in less than 5 min. today. I wrapped each threaded end with teflon tape - two wrap-arounds (bec. I chose to - less chance of leaking). There is absolutely no leaking or dripping. Was installed just below my mounted hand-held Water Pik shower head which I can take off it's holder and put back as I wish; this did not interfere with the fitting at all. Most importantly, the sliding lever for: on, off, or anything in between, works exactly as it should - no effort WHATSOEVER to slide it back and forth. I don't think I would turn it all the way off as perhaps that's too much pressure to my shower head. I don't know - so I'm being cautious. I'm thrilled with this so far and will return here if frequent usage alters its performance. Couldn't be happier with this product. Got tired of wasting water when I was soaping up and didn't need it. Also, liked being able to reduce pressure of water as necessary.

If you have a combined pressure/temperature control on your shower, this is what you need to control the pressure. One person commented that this product is good for on/off operation, but doesn't "control the flow" meaning it doesn't control the pressure. Mine controls the pressure wonderfully. It installed easily on my handheld shower head, it doesn't leak, and it varies the pressure as well as any reasonable person would ever want. Perfect.
