For people that need the MSA Air monitors for those confined space areas will eventually need to replace a sensor in the unit at some point or another. This is a sensor that usually doesn't need to be changed very often, but when it does, it's going to cost you a fair amount of money for what it seems you'll get. The price is what brings the rating down. The OEM version comes well protected and sealed. The pins on the unit were protected in a little bit of foam within a little plastic container.It is pretty easy to install and can only be seated in one position and one specific pin arrangement. Line up the pins, and you're good to go again. Do a bump/calibration test and you will be ready to go again.
