Great product!
I was leery about purchasing this product because of the negative reviews. After deliberating for a couple of weeks and looking at the alternatives, I crossed my fingers and decided to give it a try. After reading the instructions thoroughly and setting up the machine, I put it to work, going through two 64oz tanks of water back to back. I'm honestly impressed. Outside of obviously defective units that people have reported, I don't understand why anyone would complain about the performance. This is not a magical tool that will instantly clean anything with a simple push of the button; It will, however, save you lots of time and effort. We have a very old hunting cabin that has been neglected over the years; Built-up dust/grime, filthy windows, dingy grout, etc. So far, I have cleaned the windows, window frames, mantle, floors, ceiling fans, A/C window unit, and started on the grout. It has cut down cleaning time significantly. My method for most of the tasks has been to work from top to bottom with the brass-tipped nozzle, breaking down the grime and then following behind with a dry microfiber. For greasy or very dirty surfaces, I first lightly spray with a degreaser like LA Totally Awesome. This method has worked for everything so far, and I haven't even tried any attachments other than the brass nozzle and the mop. One thing to note is that after spraying a surface with steam, it may still appear dirty (this was the case with the window frames), but a quick wipe with the towel will reveal that all of the dirt and gunk has been broken free and just needs to be picked up. I recommend the microfiber because it "snags" the particles better than other towels. Where this product really shines is cleaning inside small areas, like where the window glass meets the frame, where the trim meets the wall and floor, the nooks and crannies around faucets, hinges of the toilet seat, the front grate on window A/Cs, miniblinds, et al- places where you can't easily get a rag or anything else inside to clear out the gunk. The steam blasts it out effortlessly. I used it on some of my kids' plastic toys, where there was who-knows-what kind of buildup in the seams and small crevices- now they look brand new. The unit runs a long time on a tank of water, even with the steam at maximum output. It took me about four hours to go through two tanks of water. Granted, that was not nonstop usage, but fairly close; I estimate about ninety minutes of use per tank. Regarding the claim that the pressure drops quickly, I didn't experience this. The unit so far seems to recover during the minute or so when I pause to wipe up the leftover moisture. On a related note, I don't understand the complaint that the steam contains too much liquid; When the steam contacts a cooler surface that you are cleaning, it is going to condense back into water...this is the other reason for following behind with a towel. If you pause for a few minutes and then resume steaming, you will see water spraying from the nozzle; This is because the steam that was inside of the hose has condensed from its gaseous state back into liquid. It is not a flaw with the machine, but physics. Spray it into a towel for a couple seconds before resuming, and you are good to go. The few negatives that I would mention are minor. The extensions for the mop do feel a little flimsy/cheap, especially once they warm up after extended use. It hasn't been an issue yet, but time will tell. The plastic grip where you hold it in your hand does get warm, and I was initially concerned that it would become uncomfortable to hold after awhile, but it did not. Filling the unit with water takes a little patience. Just pour slowly, and if you hear it bubbling, that's your cue to slow down for a second before resuming. The plug does not have a "hook" to clamp it to the power cord after wrapping the cord around the hooks on the back of the unit. Slightly inconvenient, as you have to loop the last few inches around the roll of cord so it won't fall off. Similarly, the carrier on the front does not retain the hand control securely. The carrying bag and net for attachments are almost useless, so I didn't bother with them. Sometimes the attachment points (the yellow button) do not engage completely, leading to attachments coming loose, especially the extensions. Pay attention when connecting them, as they will feel solidly connected, but if you look at the yellow button where it engages in the hole, you will notice that the button is not fully popped up. Sometimes a slight twisting motion after inserting will make it click into place. Overall, I'm very satisfied with this purchase. Just be patient, read and follow the manual, and it should work fine. I have already saved hours of work with this machine, and would definitely recommend it. UPDATE: I have been using the machine several times per week for a little over two months, and it is still going strong. I have since used more of the attachments. The squeeze works great for glass; I have not bought glass cleaner since. However, the green scrub pads are nearly useless; They disintegrated in a matter of minutes. I prefer to just use a separate scrubbing pad and supplement it with steam from a brass nozzle. The plastic scrubber that attaches to the mop head is decent for cleaning up mud tracks and similar stuck debris before following up with the microfiber pad. I would definitely recommend trying it on the interior of your vehicles. It easily cleans all of the crevices that are impossible to reach with a rag, and the gunky buildup on steering wheels and door sills.

Incredibly Surprised...
This is my first steamer of any kind, other than a clothes iron that is hand held. Ive seen infomercials for other stuff but curious about chemical free cleaning. This is a little "loud" but loud is relative. Its not any louder than a vaccuum, but yea its louder than using your hands to wipe something. It is also only loud when u squeeze the trigger not all the time while using it. I got about, on a full tank of water, 2 hrs+ And i didnt even use it all up. It was squeeze and steam, than wipe, and so on.. ot constant while squeegeeing or mopping with it. The book says 45 min of continuous use and i say NO way.. Now note - u dont have to pull the trigger full blast either for it to work. You can do different amounts of steam each time u pull. It also has an autolock so for mopping or etc u can lock it down. Packaging: Box of items came farely well packed. A little concern on how the hose could be inside, could be prone to kinks but all in all - well dont and items easy to open. Materials: Plastic from accessories are NICE. They look solid and feel solid. Sometimes companies provide thing guage cheap feeling plastic that either WILL break or just makes u be overly cautious for being afraid it will. None of these gives that impression at all. I feel these are pretty heavy duty and will even hold up against the abuse i am sure my wife will give it. The shiny plastic on the actual unit is nice and astheticlly pleasing to the eye BUT looks like could easily scratch. To me its a tool, not a Porsche so its fine. The power cord and tank to nozzel hose are REALLLLLLLLLLLY long. I mean when its plugged in to my kitchen in our townhouse i can walk to the front of the house and do some steam mopping.. Thats a good 30 feet?? Nice added bonus surprise. Performance: Blown away.. completely surprise. Little flap opens and unscrew a veryyyyy heavy duty bolt top. That is where the water goes in. Be sure to use the funnel like instructions say so water doesnt spill. It holds about 48+ oz of water. I have a paper towel around the funnel when pouring water just to make sure to catch any spill.. can go down into electronics. So fill it up, screw down TIGHT, and one button turn on. For a medium to small fill tank - maybe the 4-8minutes heatup informed by the owner manual is correct but NOT at all for the full tank. That took a bit more. But the heating mechanism i believe is a series of metal fins that are conducted with electiricty to heat. SO think heating up 2 gallons or so of water on a stove. ITS NOT GOING TO HEAT IN 4 MINUTES!!!!! So all the negative reviews "it doesnt heat in 5 minutes".... just think about it people sheesh.... Even when filled its still light weight. Accessories: NICE!! i couldnt believe how many they sent. seems kinda lame to label that "handle and nozzle holder" as an accessory. That must be a joke, right? I mean its actually PART of the unit u have to screen in. If anything, say the phillips screw driver they include for free as an accessory (it was a added perk and VERY nice quality driver). The squeegee worked OK. you have to make sure both front and back of of it are down so the channel of the steamer holes can trap steam in. the first lip is stiff and hits "soap scum or goop" on a window or wall, then steam channel, than rummer squeegee. I read others had issues, some didnt. Just learn a technique and you are good. The steamer mop is great. We have another stand alone steamer mop and it is just... not nearly as good. This steamer mop head swivels which the other doesnt, has a better groove set design where it steams from, is much hotter water, and over all a better performance. The little brushes- ive used the soft brush, the triangle brush, and the other.. they are OK. I mean id rather use the nozzle part and wipe or use a scotch brite sponge and do the job by hand than scrub with that thing.I havent tried it on the grill yet. Areas i cleaned which surprised me: The HVAC intake vent - its had years of just whatever stained on it. and its th slotted vent fins so an odd angle. Just was never on my to do paint list. This time i blasted it with steam and it all wiped right off... chemicals and other stuff have all failed! Faucets, the lip where the sink mounts to counter, parts of microwave and stove, and faucet heads themselves - it BLASTEDDDDDD out years of mildew (no our house isnt dirty, just normal buildup thats hard to get), lime, and grease just came right out. I even cleaned inside our stove and bam - sparkling! I am going to use one of the attachment heads for clothes but have not had the chance to. I will def come back on here and give an update review at a later date. Only downside.. and i mean only - is that sometimes the nozzle blasts a little water and not steam out. Is this my fault? I am wondering if it is because perhaps when i put the nozzle down it goes below the level of the tank and causes that bubble to move.... i wanna try to use it more and google to see what i can find. I strongly recommend this to anyone and this will be used just about every weekend if i can help it. I simply am AMAZED and have not written a review like this in a longggggg time. I will check back in a month or two to update this review. I have a good feeling i will be using this an aweful lot.

Good steam cleaner for home use
I recently got the McCulloch MC1385 and it’s pretty handy around the house. it runs for about two hours which is enough to do big cleaning jobs without constantly refilling. i like that it’s chemical-free so i don’t have to worry about using harsh cleaners on my tiles and furniture. the range of accessories is also nice, especially the different brushes and mop head, making it versatile for different surfaces. i’ve used it on my carpet and it did a decent job, and it’s great for quick touch-ups in the kitchen. one thing that could be better is the weight; it can get a bit heavy to move around during longer cleaning sessions. overall, it’s a good tool if you're after a reliable steam cleaner to handle regular home chores without using chemicals.

DON'T YOU BUY THIS OR ANY MCCULLOCH PRODUCT, I AM FACING A LOT OF PROBLEM, THEY WONT REPLACE THE MACHINE, THEY WONT ACCEPT THE RETURN AND REFUND AS WELL, THEY WONT REPLY YOU FOR YOUR MACHINE ISSUE. I PURCHASED A EXPENSIVE SCRAPE FROM MCCULLOCH. USED IT ONLY FOR 1 TIME AND IT IS NOT WORKING

I purchased this steam mop a few weeks ago and so far I am very pleased with it. Does a great job on the floors! It's quiet, easy to use and has a nice long power cord and hose. I find it's much quieter than I expected as well. When mopping the floor its best to hold the steam button down for a few minutes to get the pad saturated before starting on the floor. I actually had to touch the floor afterwards to see if it was wet! It was of course but it doesn't leave much liquid behind so the floor dries quickly, unlike the old style mop I had. Afterward the floors really felt clean, unlike when I use my WetJet mop! I've used it on sealed hardwood floors and ceramic tile. Also worked well to do a quick disinfect of the toilet bowl! Holds enough water to mop all my floors without refilling, which I know is a problem on some models that don't hold as much water. I haven't tried many other surfaces yet but plan to try it on the car soon and see how it does. Definitely happy with my purchase so far.
