Solar Animal Repeller

Our tomatoes were getting bites out of them as soon as they were ready to be picked. I don't know if squirrels, skunks or other pests were getting to them but we were very frustrated. We tried a similar device with minimal success. This one WORKS! It has sound, lights, solar, everything. We picked 27 tomatoes yesterday without any bites. We have been using it for a few weeks now and it is wonderful! I read review after review and am so happy that we settled on this device. Seriously, this is the one to purchase if you want to keep pests out of your yard and/or garden.

I bought this in hopes of detouring squirrels from my trees, Given that the squirrels go from trees to trees they never really come down to the ground therefore I don’t believe that the radar affects them at all. Might work for some thing ground level but not ideal for trying to get critters out of your trees.

3 months: We placed this near a flower bed that's located on a deer trail coming up from a ravine, who dined regularly on it. Teenagers complain about the squeal; the elderly can't hear it. We continue to have deer visiting, but they leave this flower bed alone now.

Keeps the cats out of our mulch beds by setting up 2 in opposite directions. Disappointed greatly by the misleading write up on detection range. States that it's sensitive to 20-25 yards but the manual states it's 8-9 meters, just under 8-9 yards. Be aware if you are expecting to cover a large area as I am.

Take it out of the box, and stick it in the ground. I have motion activated cameras around my house and since installing two of these in my back yard, I have not seen the neighborhood cat that used to use my back yard as a litter box making his nightly rounds. Either the sound I hear keeps the cat away, or it produces another higher pitch sound to accomplish the goal. I am very happy I found this.

I bought this because we have had a squirrel chewing on our polywood deck furniture. I set up the Pestguru Solar Animal Repeller, according to the directions, along with my trail camera and as you can see in the video, it did not repel the squirrel at all. Don't waste your money because it obviously does not work!

We had a problem Racoon that would approach and shake our bird feeder every evening, eating the birdseed that fell to the ground. (See picture) This device seemed like the perfect solution... However, this device was totally ineffective. I tried the unit installed on the ground about two feet from the birdfeeder pole, where it would have an unobstructed view of the ground around the bird feeder and be very loud for my pest. It appeared to detect the Racoon when he reached the bird feeder (the Red light would come on), but it had NO deterrent effect whatsoever on the Racoon! And yes, I had it set on position 2, which is supposed to be best for Racoons. I was also disappointed at the detection sensitivity. I had originally located the unit near an AC outlet about 12' from the birdfeeder so I could continuously charge the batteries (it claims detection up to 20 yards away). However, the unit would not even detect large humans more than 8' away. Additionally, the USB charging cable is way too short (<2') to work for continuous charging in most cases. So that implementation didn't even have a chance of working... I did give the unit 2 stars, on the presumption it may work for some applications. YMMV.

I live in a wooded area along a creek and have been really fortunate not to have had very many problems with wildlife who move through my unfenced property until this year when, having been displaced by California wildfires we have seen more critters than usual. This unit immediately stopped the critters to keep their distance and drove one racoon out from under my house where it had been living for a week.
