Beauty Base Oil Control Primer from Sculpted by Aimee (Oil Control) – 30ml All in One Moisturising Primer for Oily Skin to Prep, Protect and Perfect

This actually works for oily open pores skin, and kept my make up going lot longer on my face.

I had not heard of this brand before but I found out that it is an Irish brand created by make up artist Aimee Connolly and there are some rave reviews of the products and having tried this I can see why.The product has a rich consistency which, if I am honest, I wasn’t super impressed with as when I first applied it as it felt like sunscreen, however it seemed to melt into my skin and that feeling went. Obviously it has sun protection and sometimes products that have that element can feel slightly heavier anyhow.If you have dry skin that is prone to flaking and you need some uber drencing mousturiser to keep it looking decent, then this is not for you, I am afraid - I have ths type of skin and no matter how much I experimented witg make up and mousturisers, this primer just ended up sitting on top of my poers and accentuating the fact that I have a tonne of foundation on top of my skin. So, did not wor for me, unfortunately.

I really like using primers to get a decent base before applying make up. Sometimes it’s also nice just to wear as a light covering to help minimise my pores.This all in one primer soaks in within a few minutes, leaving a pretty lightweight feel which I liked. I do have oily skin and this product didn’t seem to make it any worse and I do think it helped to provide a lasting base for my make up. It is definitely on a par with other primers on the market.Overall it’s a clever all in one primer that’s also a moisturiser. It is only a small tube at 30ml but it also means it is handy to carry around or for use when travelling.

I have been using several products from Sculpted by Aimee connolly and happy with the quality and the complexion of my skin.I usually don't wear heavy makeup so this brand is perfect for my skin as they are lightweight and gives me a natural looks.This base oil control Primer also suits my busy life because I can apply it by itself under my blush in the morning without a foundation. It gives me a smoother skin, which minimises my pores and let the blush stays longer during the day. It's an all in one moisturising and protecting as well as perfecting the skin whether you use a foundation on top of it or not!At £20 for 30ml, I wouldn't place it under a budget category but my advise is to use a very small amount that should be enough to cover the entire face as it has a rich consistency. This way the tube will last long and yet allows me to keep enjoying its nice finish to the skin.

I really like how easy this primer is to use and it gives me a flawless base on which to apply my makeup. It’s perfect! It’s easy for me to use and dispense from the tube, I don’t need to use a lot to cover my whole face so it’ll last a while. I like that it applies smoothly onto my skin and that it feels soft and luxurious when applied. It’s comfortable on my skin and hasn’t irritated or caused any discomfort to my sensitive areas so I feel it’s sensitive skin approved! I like that it’s a high quality premium product and I feel the value for money is very good and I’ll happily get this again as I’ve really enjoyed using it and how it’s helped my makeup last longer.

I am a bit confused with the advert,,, in one place they state Silica free and safe for pregnant women, but when you see ingredients list, Silica is one of ingredients,,,Anyway I tried the product and quite liked it how it feels on my skin. Like any other face product, you must give it at least a few minutes to set, before applying your makeup. If you apply your makeup immediately, you're essentially not allowing the moisturizer to work its magic. Also, apply this with a cotton swab, not your hands. Your hands naturally have oil on them and can transfer to your face, but also your hands will absorb some of the product.

I have quite oily skin and constantly find myself patting my skin to help get rid off it, since I have started using this my make up looks so much better as it really does control the oil.This is quite thick when I applied it I could smell a nice smell, but it soon disappears I did not need to use a lot one pump did my whole face and it soaked in really well.This is quite expensive, but a little does go a long way and if it is in your price range then it really is a great primer.
