Smooth Costa Rican blend that brews nicely in a French press
I’m a big fan of Costa Rican coffees and generally prefer lighter roasts with a bright, clean profile. This Copper Moon Costa Rican Blend has been a solid everyday option, especially for brewing with a French press, which is my go to for brewing my coffee at home. Grinding the beans fresh works well with this blend. The aroma is pleasant and the flavor punches through as you would expect when using a French press. It has the low acidity and smooth character that Costa Rican coffees are known for that make it well balanced and easy to drink. For a medium roast, it still retains some of the brightness I enjoy from lighter roasts, while staying smooth and not overly bitter. It’s not an ultra-specialty single-origin experience for us coffee snobs, but it’s consistent, approachable, and very good as a daily coffee when you’re grinding whole beans at home. If you enjoy Costa Rican coffee and brew with a French press, this is a reliable medium roast that delivers a smooth, balanced cup without being too heavy, and buying it in the 2lb bag is great value for the money when you can get it on coupon at Amazon.

Nice roast
This is about a 5 lb bag of coffee. Should last quite a while. I love Costa Rican pea berry and that's what this is, it has a distinctive flavor. I'm a coffee nut. I would recommend it

Acidic
I’m kinda pickier with my coffee & not for any specific reason other than flavor & preferences but this one is definitely more on the acidic side. Good flavor & size for price but definitely more acidic than most.

This is my go to coffee
I'm so glad I came across this brand. I really like Costa Rican coffees and this one doesn't disappoint. I use it to make Americanos in my espresso machine. They are very tasty. These aren't super high end beans, but then the cost isn't high end either. However, they produce reliably very good coffee bag after bag for a modest price.

Was worth it when it was $40, but not over $60
I wasn't fortunate enough to get the super fresh oily beans like some other people, but for $40 it was decent flavorwise and everything. It's definitely a no go at $60+. There's better coffee for less money available on Amazon.

Great cups and excellent cups, over and over and over.
I drank this daily for a couple of months, and cups ranged from very good to epic. I eventually got tired of it, though, somehow, and bought some expensive locally roasted beans. They may have been superior, but I didn't get great results. Then I tried another brand. Similar outcomes only. Sometimes pretty good, often just OK. So I went back to this one and just brewed my first cup in a while. Epic! I'm sure I'll tire of it again eventually, but probably probably just temporarily. This is a really solid bean and roast *for how I make coffee.* (If you're curious, I'm very sloppy compared to a lot of coffee nerds: I pour over; I don't know what temp the water is, but it's not still boiling; I don't know how much water I use for the bloom but I get the grounds all visibly wet; I don't usually wet the filter first; the grind is past the half way point between medium and coarse. I don't really know how much grind I'm using. It takes about 10 seconds on my Oxo conical burr grinder. So I do it all "wrong," according to some, but it's how I do it. And this Copper Moon coffee is very accommodating to my sloppiness). I don't know how to describe the taste of those epic cups. But when it happens, every swallow is amazing.
