These tires look and fit just like the original tire John Deere put on the LX178
The Turf Trac R/S fit my John Deere LX178, just the same as the original. They are the same width and height including the "rounded" edges like the tires John Deere originally put on. These cost half the price of what John Deere puts on. I am Tire Bob.

Great tire
Great tire, my snowblower loves the pair. Plenty of traction in all sorts of snow and the usual ice on a steep driveway. These tires came highly recommended on a snowblower forum so their excellent performance was not a surprise. I never give out 5 stars - there is always something better, but as I said, I have no complaints about these tires.

Had a blow out and needed a quick replacement
Good tire and received quickly. Went to Discount Tire for mounting. $15 to get it mounted. Works better as older tire rubber was aged. This grips better. Wish I could found a more aggressive tread patter as some of the areas I mow are sandy.

Carlisle Turf Trac R/S is better than Carlisle Turf Master, much thicker
Very good, be sure you note this tire is thicker and better than the one Carlisle calls "Turf Master". My mechanic put one of those Turf Master ones on one side of our John Deere ZTR mower and now it is bugging me how weak that tire is compared to this one. And the price is about the same. So this is the really good one for the money for sure. I wish I could have both of these to match. Don't make same mistake we did, just get 2 of these!
