ROBERTS 12" Carpet Rake and Groomer with 51" Handle

Works great! I have cheap “shag” carpeting in my new apartment and it gets crushed down so fast and makes the whole place look like crap. I take my little rake and with a few swipes it looks new again! Now, my plan is to make a small pathway in and out of every room so I’d have to just fix that line…….. I’ve never been OCD before but this carpet is THAT CHEAP and awful lol

A must need for rentals!!! I have lived in student housing the past two years n this has just made it worth living in. Who knows how many tenants have lived here before me or had pets. I felt this unit was not professionally cleaned before moving in so I deep cleaned before I settled everything in. or so i thought. I wasn’t entirely educated on good carpet cleaning other than using deodorizers or rug doctors. I did not want to go through the hassle of hauling a fat vacuum so my poor college self invested in a cheap $20 blk n decker. I knew it was poor quality but OH MAN! I just vacuumed and then I used the rake. So fluffy. Soooo much hair that the vacuum didnt pick up. I posted this on my snap story n had so many friends ask for the link. Of course i cannot gate keep this, its amazing and at such a reasonable cost. Buy it! You will feel at so much peace in a clean room🩷

My carpet is old and needs to be replaced. This helped fluff the fibers and also raked out dog hair, though I wasn't as impressed as I hoped I would be.All in all, it serves its purpose and does what you would think it would.Reason for 4 stars: The handle sucks, It falls apart easily. Its made in separate pieces, i think to make shipping easy, but it is not strong once put together. Luckily, I used an old broom handle and it solved my problems.

That’s one week’s of hair from one German Shepherd in the master bedroom. You should have seen it when I first used the rake. Easy to put together. Does the job. Also used it on my Oriental carpet in my office. Also fantastic job.

I like this rake as it has a 3 piece handle. As it turns out there are places like stairs where the full length handle is awkward to use. The only concern I have is how well the combs will hold up. My previous rake (well over 10 years old) had combs that were a little bit more rigid and they never broke, they simply wore down a little from use so I thought it was time to replace. So far I haven't had any issues with the new one and it seems to rake the carpet well. So it's unfair to say it won't hold up long term. I'll update the review in a couple of months after I've had chance to use it around the house on all the carpets and rugs.BTW, a carpet rake is a great tool. I've never had one rip out any threads etc and they absolutely do bring the spring back into carpets and rugs. I also found that if I vacuum a carpet/rug and them rake, just before I use my Bissel carpet shampooer, that really helps a huge deal in cleaning deep.I should also note I have not tried a rake on a shag pile carpet. So I cannot say if it would work on one of those.UPDATE:After 2 weeks usage I docked 2 stars. The rake does work and works well but the 3 part handle locking design is a really poor design. Considering the effort you need to rake a carpet, no way this handle would hold up for long. In my case, the top section on mine keeps popping out. I've tried tightening more but too much effort and it pops out also. Maybe I just have a "bad" one. This looks like a standard handle thread so I may look around for a better handle elsewhere but for what the product is, without a solid working handle, it's not what it's advertised to be.

I decided to get a carpet rake after watching a few carpet cleaning videos. I thought it was a great idea. The common area and high traffic area were looking flat and stained. I wanted to give it a little more lift, and possibly open it up so that the dirt will not get trapped under there. Also, so that the pre-treatment and cleaning product I used will help lift the dirt and stain off.Some of the reviews mention it breaking after a few rakes. So I wasn't optimistic about this product durability and liability. I was worried about the bristles not being stiff or strong enough. When I received it, it came in three pieces and you just need to screw/twist them together.I used it after a pre-treatment on my carpet before the cleaning. I could already tell a difference. Currently, my carpet looks a lot better than before. It has been more than a month since I cleaned and raked my carpet. It is still looking great since the day I used it. Definitely recommend it.After watching carpet cleaning videos, I decided to invest in a carpet rake to address the flat and stained appearance in common and high-traffic areas. Upon receiving the product in three pieces, it is easily assembled by screwing them together.Using the rake after a pre-treatment, I noticed an immediate difference in the carpet's appearance. Even after more than a month since cleaning and raking, my carpet still looks significantly improved. Despite initial concerns, I'm pleased with the results and would recommend this carpet rake.
