Added Nu-Calgon 4050-05 to fix a leak in my walk-in cooler (R449a system). Stopped the leak BUT murdered my compressor and TXV in 9 months. Technician confirmed sealant sludge choked the valves. This poison claims to 'fix' systems but actually DESTROYS them slowly. Cost me $3k+ in repairs vs. a $50 leak repair. WARNING: This isn't a fix -it's a $3,000 time bomb for your HVAC. I can’t say that I blame the sealer for the size leak I was trying to stop. It was a long shot. In my case it didn’t work. However, I have a very slow leak in another unit so I will try it again. Better than $7200 for a new unit.

Product stopped the leak and seems to work. Purchase this product and gave it to the AC service guy to install with more Freon been working for 4 weeks now great leak free. Just make sure you don’t put too much of this in your unit. If you put too much in your unit can do more harm than good only install to match the ton size of your unit.

I have put this in several customer’s units and seems to work great. One system had leak that we could not find and was adding 1 pound of 410 every 2 months. Haven’t had to put Freon in for over a year so far. I can’t say that it will always work but so far it has for my customers.

Should have been nice to know the minimum refrigerant size before I bought it. Wasn't easy only doing half a tube. To me it seems like a waste of money.
