Pricy but well worth it.
I wanted a heater for our porch that we could sit in front of and feel the heat and this one fits the bill. All the others I've seen just produce heat above the flame ... this one is like an indoor fireplace. It is beautifully made and designed. It has a rich look like the big ones at a ski resort. The lava rock heats up and produces a blue flame plus contains a lot of heat to help radiat the warmth outward. I think this unit would be great indoors as well maybe even better since the heat that escapes upward would warm the room. The assembly was pretty straight forward but the final stages were not easy to be sure. It took my son's help to hold pieces together while I attached screws. At the end only one screw and nut were missing .... I had one so no problem. If there was a 6 star system of review ... I'd give it 6!

Perfect upgrade from a table top fire pit
I recently purchased this fire pit, and I couldn’t be happier with it! First off, it arrived incredibly well-packaged, ensuring everything inside was intact and ready for assembly. Although the setup took about an hour, the instructions were clear and easy to follow, making the assembly process quite smooth. What really sets this fire pit apart is the fantastic heat distribution, thanks to its effective heat shield. Unlike tabletop fire pits where heat can dissipate upwards and go to waste, this design ensures that the warmth is redirected outwards, creating a cozy environment around the pit. It’s perfect for gathering friends and family for an evening outdoors without losing any of the comforting warmth. All in all, this fire pit has been a great addition to my backyard. It’s way better than any tabletop version I’ve had before. If you’re considering an upgrade, I highly recommend this one. It’s well worth the investment for those cooler nights!

Missing Parts
It looks like a great fire pit, but I cannot assemble it due to missing parts. Contacted Amazon and was directed to Cuisinart Customer Care, they refuse to expedite shipping on the missing parts. From customer care: "We do not overnight or expedite parts sorry for the inconvenience. We do ask that you allow 7-10 days for your part(s) to arrive and that includes 72 hours for the order to be processed. We truly do apologize for the inconvenience, but we do appreciate your understanding at this time." Thumbs Down!!

Assembly was easy, works well!
Other reviews say this was difficult to assemble. It took me 45 min or less. All parts fit perfectly and the directions are very complete with illustrations. I would say the build quality is “ok” the base should have been cast instead of very flimsy sheet mettle. I will end up reinforcing it (you probably don’t have to do this and don’t let that comment stop you from buying) It does heat very well! Better than the fire pit table. Heat is deflected horizontally and you can feel it even on low. For the price it’s worth it. A nice trick… I put a small fan behind the fireplace.. about the night of the Cuisinart logo.. it’s running on low speed. This pushes the hot air laterally.. I can run the fire very low and get great heating results!

Good looking cozy fire pit
We have had this for a few weeks and it is really nice. It has a cozy fireplace feel, and warms the sitting area. Looks really good in our yard. Assembly was not too bad. There are a few tricky steps, but the instructions were pretty clear and we got it together in about an hour.

Great concept, poor execution
I love chimineas, but wanted something I could use that wouldn't smoke for a covered patio. I LOVED this product (in theory). I decided to bite the bullet and buy it anyway, despite the negative / critical reviews. I was tracking its price and saw it go really low earlier this fall so I jumped at the chance to pick it up. It definitely wasn't easy to put together. You need to 2 people, one to make sure that pieces line up and are held in place and the other to actually use the hardware to assemble. I didn't have a big issue with holes not lining up, needing to drill new holes - everything went together for the most part smoothly. If anything, some of the angles were really difficult because of how the thing goes together. I needed to get out my shortest screwdriver and put my arm / wrist / hand into some funky positions to get it all done. I did have one issue of things not fitting together - The decorative silver bar around the flame just wasn't shaped correctly. Everything fits together but one area, where I couldn't even bend the thing into shape to screw it in. (see photos). It isn't really noticeable, so it isn't a deal breaker in my opinion. It also arrived scuffed up. Packaging didn't really keep it from scraping up against itself while in transit. I also have some pretty big scratches / rust marks on the front of the base, which is pretty annoying. It's going to live outside and continue to get used / beat up. But it would have been nice to keep it pristine for as long as possible. So far my biggest issues are related to its mobility. There isn't a good way to pick the thing up and move it around. I don't want to leave it out all the time, I need to store it for the winter, etc. Because of its shape, there isn't really any natural handles or anything. It's also made out of really thin materials. This helps make it lighter, but I think the quality really suffers for it. I am going to see if I can replace the feet it came with with some locking casters so at least it is on wheels.
