Like most guys, you hope there isn't any shrinkage!
I looked at a lot of these products and chose this brand with their no headaches pitch expanding and applying these. Full body adhesive was a critical reason as well. I bought a 36 pack and only 2 had any type of issue expanding to a perfect from, and honestly, the only way to be absolutely sure they come in perfect form is to never compress them, and that just raises cost of packaging and shipping. The 2 that didn't snap to perfect form, we're just talking one edge being about 1/4" lower than perfect, so it is all perfect for my needs. They expanded fast, however, I let them sit out with only 3 high in each pile for 2 hours before I came back to look at them, so excellent score at easy expansion description. Adhesion is also a great score due to full body adhesive, however I am using them on a resin walled shed cleaned with 95% isopropyl alcohol, so the adhesive does not touch 100% of a surface to fully adhere. They are up and good so far, but I do not expect them to stay that way as the temperatures change. If they don't, I'll know exactly where they go and reapply using some car headliner spray glue, that will most assuredly keep them in place. For now, I'll hope to keep it mess free and see if they hold their place. I am using them to keep my CNC machine noise down a little for my neighbors since I don't have the room for an enclosure. These panels along with a different sound insulation product designed for cars, mostly applied to the doors of shed, they actually works well. I don't have any sound measurements, but my own hearing tells me it was all worth the $80 in materials as I like my neighbors, most of them anyway. I barely hear it 12ft away from shed and that's with the 16,000 rpm Dewalt router. With the 4 extra I had, I placed next to the 60db air compressor, if the adhesion works out, I'll buy some more and fill out that wall and those 2 sides of shed being covered will do a good job as there isn't anyone on the side of the other 2 walls. Turns out my work enabled me to seal up all the cracks that allowed air to come in (besides designed vents that I cover with removable material), so in winter, I'm already ahead of the game keeping the shed warm when heater is on. Best $80 and 2 hours work done to this shed yet.

Excellent! Great for that pro studio look and feel!
These are great for that pro studio look and feel! These really do fully expand within a few mins like it says. Yes the adhesive backing does work beautifully with one catch, you have to read the one key instruction that says “clean the surface you’re sticking them on first.” I used Lysol Disinfectant Spray, let it dry for a few mins and I haven’t had any problems after a couple weeks of them being stuck to the wall. Before sticking them though, I used thumb tacks to place them on the wall in the design I wanted to make sure they would work in the area I wanted. The only con that you personally may have and it is not a con for me is: These do not do much in terms of sound dampening. They do a little and I can hear a mild difference but nothing that’s going to be useable for a live band or loud environment. For me, I knew these weren’t going to be that and I was okay with it for that’s not what I bought these for. I needed these for video content and over all atmosphere feel and these are excellent for that!

It’s good
Finally found one that sells for a low amount of foam panels. (which is this one here) Been needing some for my room for recordings. They do arrive vacuum sealed, but they went back into shape once I cut open the plastic seal. Some say theirs remained flat, but that’s just me. No weird smell came out of those luckily. And foam quality is pretty good too. One tedious thing was removing the paper off from the adhesive before installing. But other than that, installing on my walls was a breeze. And a bit of a noise change after sticking them up.

Awesome panels!
Stuck right to the wall quite well without falling off! Easy to cut to resize, and blocks sound effectively. I stuck them to a door between two rooms and they worked quite well.

Great sound deadening panels for the cost.
I have a small theater room and in the rear I have my racing sim setup. So I added these all over the rear of the room to cut down on sound bouncing around. Worked like a charm. These are super easy to install and they really do work on cutting out echos and sound that you don't want. Would recommend to anyone looking to control acoustics in their room. Update: I've purchased these a few times. The most recent order seems to have dropped in quality significantly. The adhesive on the back is very weak and doesn't cover the back of the panel. Causing them to fall off my wall. The panels are also cut improperly. So they don't line up properly. I'd be very cautious purchasing these with high expectations.

Exactly what I was looking for!
I purchased these panels to help deaden the sound from my air conditioning unit while sitting on the patio. There is a short fence with horizontal angled slats sitting next to the ac unit to block the view. These panels adhered to the slats without any issues and deadened the sound noticeably. They were easy to cut to fit with a decent pair of scissors and after pressing them firmly in place, I haven't had any fall off in the month or so that they've been there.

Trash!
The adhesive on the back of these foam pads peeled completely off the foam while they were sitting unused for a couple weeks before I tried to install them! I installed one pad and in 10 minutes it peeled off the adhesive backing, leaving the foam pad with no adhesive, making it unusable. The adhesive remained stuck on the surface I tried to attach the foam to. Beware!

They work!
Used these to create a sound-reducing container that my wife can place over the (really noisy) blender that she uses to make shakes and protein drinks. It was so noisy that we would both leave the kitchen area until it had finished. Now (with the noise container over it) ... it is just mildly annoying. We can easily talk over it.
