How do you get the trigger to work? It stays in and won’t release.

You need to pull the red piece ounder the gun back and make sure the plane is pushed back as far as it goes! I hope this helped! Enjoy! My Grandson has had a blast playing with this toy!

Is it possible to change the batteries?

In the product information it states that 3 lithium ion batteries are included. So, I assume that you should be able to change the batteries. It was a gift for my grandson and he loved it.
