Anna and Sarah Tropical Dried Fruit Mix (5 Lbs)

This tropical dried fruit mix is totally addictive. It is sweetened, and I wonder if Anna and Sarah make an unsweetened version of this product. Don't get me wrong, I will definitely be buying this again.

Yo Anna! Hey Sara! You sure bragged up these dried fruits but you failed to mention the fact that some if not all of the fruit mix is from China! If I could have rated ZERO STARS I would have. I didn't even taste a piece. I walked it out back, tossed into the burning barrel, and touched it off. Ashes to ashes dust to dust.... I gave it a good stir before I came in to ensure a full burn- I hate to think that some poor hungry vermin- a field mouse, a barn rat, or even a tasty whitetail deer could scrounge around my burning barrel and, God forbid, eat some of this.... this stuff. I hate mice and rats even more but food products from China? It's not hatred I feel- it's fear. I checked my bag of pineapple chunks that I bought from Sincerely Nuts and they are a product of Thailand ONLY. Not much more to say about this so I'll close and wish you all good eatin' and good health. Side note: Grabbed some Dole canned fruit at the grocery the other day. Pineapple as a matter of fact. When I think "Dole" I think "American company w/wholesome food". Well I USED to think like that. Now I think"Wow- even canned pineapple from good ol' Dole is to be feared." Thanks Dole and goodbye! Dole pineapple bits: product of China. I never would have imagined! I've always been a label reader and frankly I'm almost afraid to look through my pantry. Maybe another day... Don't beware a Chinese invasion- they're already here and they've already won! Thanks Washington! And to you dear reader I give my thanks as well. /end rant

The mixed fruit in this package is fresh and great looking. The only real comment I have on this product is that it is very sweet. It has added sugars that make it too sweet. It’s good but I probably wouldn’t buy it again. If you like the really sweet dried fruit, then this would work for you very well.

First tried fruit that I can actually tell is the fruit that it’s supposed to be the kiwi is green. Pineapple is yellow papaya is orange. The mango is orange not too sweet not too hard. Not too soft. It’s just right.

Well, I must have ordered this when I was really hungry! It came today, just one day late. It doesn't bother me to much that it was a little late, though it would have if it was delayed any longer. As for the product, when I opened the bag (which is made from pretty heavy duty, sturdy plastic, and zips closed for easy storage), I was immediately hit with a chemical/preservative type of smell. It dissipated a little, but it's still hanging around the top of the open bag. There are lots of good sized pieces fruit in this mix. The quantity is more than I expected. It seems like it is very fresh; there are a number of types of good sized, brightly colored fruits in this mixture, which signals to me that it's fresh- for what it is..and also making it easier to pick out exactly what you want to snack on. As for the taste, it's just okay.... There's a funky favor that I'm finding difficult to explain. I think it could have a bit to do with that smell I mentioned... It's almost like it is only on the surface of the fruit, albeit on every piece I've eaten so far.. This leads me to think that it's that non-sugar, sugaryish coating. Once I bite into it and taste the actual fruit, it seems to be less noticable. The sweetness is probably the worst though. It's way sweeter than I thought it would be... I just wind up only taking chipmunk sized nibbles, so I don't overwhelm my taste buds! I don't think I will buy this for myself ever again. Actually, I'm already thinking about dividing this bag up and seeing if my mother or sister want some (in all likelihood, it will go bad before I finish it), as they like dehydrated fruits more than I do. Some people like this, as it had great reviews (why I bought it in the first place). I feel bad only giving 3 stars, but it's my honest review. Lots of people could get this same thing and feel as if it's the best dried fruit on the market, however, after this, I will probably be sticking to fresh produce.

High quality fruit. We purchased it as a gift for a bird breeding parrot Ranch as a treat for Valentine’s Day, and they loved it.

These are candied fruit, whoops should have read more closely. Way too sweet, one reviewer said he washed them off in a colander and then dried them, I guess I will try that. Right now I am having some great value WMT dried mango, great just what I expect in a dried fruit, chewy, not sweet. I won't buy this again

Les fruits ne sont pas pareil à ceux du dessin. J'aurais préféré qu'ils soient plus secs. Bon au goût quand même.

The product is great, just not equal, I got a lot of mango, (I think could not tell) and very little of the other products. Mostly mango a few ki,wi, and some pineapple and little papaya.
