WORKS LIKE A CHARM!

I bought this to bring to my work desk. No idea it required a connection to a WiFi network. I couldn't get it to connect to my home network, and I am not about to connect some device like this to my office network, nor am I sure such a device would be possible as we have to sign in with our company account to access the WiFi.However, that being said, it is possible to work around the wifi requirement by using a phone's hotspot feature to connect to the clock. You can then connect to the clock using the Glixie app, set the time, and change any settings you need, and the clock will keep those settings and maintain the time so long as power is connected. If the clock is unplugged, you can turn the hotspot on your phone back on and reconnect, and the clock will reset itself. The clock will remember the hotspot's connection settings. A little annoying, and I would have preferred a way to connect with Bluetooth. But the workaround isn't the end of the world.Overall, it's a very eye-catching design. It could be difficult to read from farther distances or angles, but it's perfectly legible on a desk or small room. The brightness of the leads can be adjusted smoothly, even to very low levels. The app can be a little odd at times, but works okay. If you go nuts changing the color rapidly, some tubes can get out of sync.

Workarounds don’t work. iOS 17 or newer incompatible. Setup no problem using an older iPad. Don’t know about droids.

The media could not be loaded.  The clock looks cool. The problem is the Gixie app doesn’t work. The clock sets automatically, but I can’t change the colors or anything I could do in the app.

If you are looking at this product because it is cheaper than the other nixie clocks take my advice and don’t cheap out with this one.1. They make it very difficult to setup, there is no buttons to manual set the clock.2. You can only set the clock via wifi and if your wifi does not have a password it will still ask you for one and there is no bypass for it, it will not let you connect without a password even if there is not one.3. There is no Bluetooth capabilities for this as most newer electronics should have.4. My personal experience is that I bought a almost $100 clock that doesn’t work right, I have it connected to wifi and yet whatever time you set it to on the app it will stay on that time and not update with time. It is essentially useless.5. The app is awful for this and vary rarely works.6. I would stay away from this brand in general as they make numerous glixie clocks in different sizes.

Exactly as advertised great RGB clock that gives a Nixie tube feel. The app is very helpful and I love the range of colors I can have for it. I would give this piece 5 stars but my clock in particular came with one of its tubes a little cracked. Overall though I am enjoying this product, if anything happens I’ll makes sure to update my review.

Clock looks great out the box however cannot connect to app sends you in a limbo of reconnection waste of time and money because it gives you no option to manually set the clock making it useless will not be suggesting this clock

Great design and idea but the APP doesn’t work at all. It’s impossible to get the clock to connect through the app. The app is the only way to set the clock and change the colors.Very upsetting. Take this trash off Amazon
