I use these to light up a coat closet I turned into a kitchen pantry. I've been using them for a few months now, and they are still working great. I do wish the on/off switch was just a little bit bigger. They are easy to apply, and the adhesive is still holding strong. I once accidentally left them on all day and the lights dimmed a bit, but a new set of batteries and they are back to their original brightness.The battery case is a little flimsy, so be careful. I dropped it and it cracked, so I have to use a small piece of tape to hold it together. So far that hasn't caused any issues with how well it works.

We purchased these lights to go inside the door frame of the pantry from top to bottom. So far, we are extremely pleased with the purchase. I turn the light on and off each time, so have not seen the battery drain others have mentioned. They are bright enough to light up the pantry without glare, which is extremely nice first thing in the morning when I've not had any coffee. I cleaned off the door frame with 91% Isopropyl alcohol and so far, they have stayed on well. I learned my lesson the hard way with other strip lights and not cleaning before applying. I ruined them...the adhesive would not stick. User error, but lesson learned.The lights are long enough to light up entire pantry. Each shelf is lit and I can now find whatever I am seeking with ease. Purchased another set for another area of our kitchen that needs light but doesn't have easy access to a power source. This will be the challenge for the batteries, as it is an area we would prefer to have the lights on for extended periods of time. Will update review when installed.

This strip is OK and I'm sure it meets it's specs, but brightness is a spec that's not published, and these are much less bright than I thought a 5050 LED should be. I was going to fabricate an array of 7 rows wide by 10" long to brightly illuminate a small under shelf work area. Alas, these are 1/3 to 1/2 as bright as necessary for my needs.

Bright and work well on AA batteries, however leaving them on for more than 5 minutes at once and they dim drastically fast... turn them off and back on, they are back to original brightness but 5 minutes later they die out. Changing batteries doesn’t prevent this from happening.

This is a nice and reasonably priced LED strip light kit. It includes a battery pack with on/off switch. It runs off 3 AA batteries.I used these to light the inside of a closet. I spliced a limit switch between the battery pack in the light. I installed it such that the strip light is running from near floor to ~6' up, the battery pack is mounted on the wall, and the switch is just under the top jamb near the hinges. Works just like a fridge light -- open the door and the light turns on, close it and it turns off. I plan to purchase more of these strips to make additional under cabinet and closet lights.Splicing the limit switch and extra wire between the battery pack and the LED strip was a far greater challenge than it should have been. The wires connecting the battery pack to the strip are of very poor quality. It took several tries to properly strip the wire. The stripper kept ripping the internal metal wires apart - they're that thin. In the end I just used a utility knife to slice off the insulation.If you are just using this as a standalone item you'll probably never notice any issue with the wires. But if you are using this as part of a larger circuit, just be patient and take your time.

Made two orders of this product to build light sabers (picture of first saber is attached). Works beautifully! The lighting is super bright! The product is very basic, which works perfect for us because we could easily take it apart and integrate it into our own project.My only complaint is that the battery pack is too large and we had to mount it on the outside instead of the inside. However, for the second light saber, I tested he lights with 2xAA batteries (total of 3V) and it still worked, albeit with a little less brightness. All in all, a very successful purchase and these lights have now become our exclusive and most trusted brand for all future light saber projects!

Although it was easy to install and bright at the beginning, after a week or so I have to change the batteries. I tried to use rechargeable batteries but they will only last a couple of weeks in a closet that needed light just a couple of times per week for just a few seconds. It is a waste of money and non-friendly with the environment if you take into account the number of batteries that you will need.

I bought these for a frame for a puzzle that looks like stained glass. OMG these were everything and more than I could ask for! The people that I gave it to as a gift were so excited about the whole thing. The lights fit perfecting on the inside of the frame and once the whole thing was on the wall, the light was distributed perfectly. These are super easy to install and turn on and off. I will probably be order more of these for different locations around my house that I would like a little more light. The price is super reasonable for these awesome lights. Another selling point was that I could adjust the length if I needed to.
