This box provides an EPIC amount of felting wool in a huge variety of colors to use or blend into new combinations. I’m using it for the visible mending and repair of wool/natural fiber clothing. It rook just a quarter sized floof to fix a hole in a cashmere sweater with a blue 🩵. This box just contains the WOOL assortment, not the felting tools.

I purchased a different product before that was marked as wool but was definitely just cotton (like the fake spider web Halloween decoration stuff). This product is real wool and works beautifully for felting. The colors are dyed well and are vibrant and bright. Will be buying again

Edit:It’s now been a few months of using this kit, and I still have wool left! I wet felted 11 soaps with it most recently, and each one took only 20 minutes. It was so easy to use.So now that I’ve had more experience with this hobby, and have purchased wool elsewhere for comparison, I can now say that while it may not be the *best* wool, you’ll be hard pressed to find a better selection of colors at this price point. I decided to order a second box, because it really is that good. You get so.much.wool in this kit, and for under $20, you really can’t go wrong!Original review:With tax I paid $17.88 for this kit, which is 240 grams of wool total. There is an excellent selection of colors, and the amount you get is fantastic for the money. That said, I’m not quite sure what to call this wool. It’s not tops/roving, but it’s not quite carded either. I’d say it’s more carded than anything else, but at the same time it’s soft and smooth if that makes any sense. It comes in what I would call small batts, not slivers; however I do think it would actually be easy to wrap armature with it (side note I’ve never actually done that myself).There is a fair amount of VM in it which I really dislike, and it’s quite nubby as well, which you can see from the pictures.Despite these negatives, it does felt nicely (I do 2D pictures, not 3D pieces fwiw), and I enjoy working with it.So, you get what you pay for. If you’re just starting out and you don’t want to sink a lot of money into this hobby, it is a very good value for the amount you get. Just be prepared to pick VM out of it fairly often, and deal with a decent amount of nubs (although I will say some colors are worse than others in this regard).Happy felting!

If there was any way to give the Woolbuddy assortment of 24 colours even more stars than five, I would do so. Not only is the wool of high quality, the amounts of each colour are far more generous than that in any other selection I've seen on offer (a full 10 grams of each one). Woolbuddy, you're my wool buddy for life!

Love it great quality not cheap wool

The colors are vibrant and more than enough to do lots of felting designs. Highly recommend. Although I do wish the black and brown colors came with 2 each.
