NOW Supplements, Modified Citrus Pectin Powder, Supports Healthy Detoxification*, 1-Pound

This has made a significant, durable difference in how my body takes in nutrients and eliminates toxins. I went through the recommended high-dose protocol (1 heaping tablespoonful 3x/day for 45 days), then dropped down to the maintenance dose (1 heaping tablespoonful per day) about 8 months ago for longterm digestive support and detoxification. As advertised, the initial detox process was gentle as well as powerful. After a month or so I came to find the taste slightly pleasant, though it did take some getting used to at first and I was adding citrus with maple syrup to mask the flavor for the first couple weeks. I heat a mug of water in the microwave and then stir this in, which works well. Great stuff!

Based on recommendation from a naturopath (with the Cancer Treatment Center of America), we used MCP for our 5-yr-old who was diagnosed with a pediatric cancer last year. (She did not specify brand, but I chose NOW brand bc of good reviews and price.) Our oncologist deemed this a 'food product' and approved the use of MCP, along with other supplements recommended by our naturopath (fish oil, vit D, sesame oil, probiotics). Our naturopath told us it would prevent metastasis and block nutrition from getting to the cancer cells. RESULT: the huge tumor shrank very quickly (11cm to 2.5cm in 10 weeks); what was left was removed by surgery (at 10 wks); chemo lasted for 10 months, but we're done now and he is cancer-free! We believe these supplements helped accelerate the shrinking of tumor as well as reduce some of the negative side effects of chemotherapy. Although his red blood cells did drop as expected due to chemo, it never got low enough to warrant a blood transfusion. He has been finished with treatment for 2 months now, but I plan to keep him on this for detox & recurrence prevention, and will add to the regimen for the rest of our family for good health and prevention.As per naturopath's instructions, we gave him 1 tsp a day. Mixed it with 1/2-3/4 c OJ. (My 5-yr old probably wouldn't take it with anything else.) About the clumping, I didn't have the patience to let it sit for 5-10 min. What worked best for me was to add a 1/2 tsp of OJ to make a "paste" first, then gradually add the OJ, while stirring, and using the back of the spoon to get any remaining clumps dissolved faster - a cinch. The 16 oz. can lasted 10 months, and I'm re-ordering just now. Do let your doctor know, but I recommend this product highly.

Very mild taste (barely noticeable). May give you loose stools for the first day or two ... suggest titrating up.Value of MCP as a dietary supplement is, well, debatable. Do your own reading. Seems like it couldn't hurt.

The powder taste is pungent. I have to dissolve it in hot tea with a lot of honey. I love MCP and this is the first time I’ve tried the pure powder form. I’ll stick to capsules. I don’t think I’ll order this brand anymore as it is waaaay to expensive. If you followed the suggested use, it would cost a couple hundred dollars per month for this.

I tried this after listening to a podcast with the doctor that developed it. I take one teaspoon at night. Within 72 hours my shoulder pain was gone. The tension, tightness, is still present and my ROM is still impaired and require me to continue to stretch, but the pain is gone. After 10 days, arthritis pain in my hands is gone completely.

They say it's quali-c which I've used for a couple years this does not have the same affect whatsoever. It's also slightly lighter in color which is concerning. Get it from the original quali-c company it's amazing.

Lots of potassium in this (which makes sense) so be careful if you have CKD. The taste is not so good. It may be super healthy so it may be worth it from what I've heard.

Normal Triglycerides(circulating fat in the blood) are less than 150. Diabetes raised my Triglycerides to 489 as a female in my early 50's, it was BAD!
