NoSalt Original Sodium-Free Salt Alternative, 11 oz

I had never heard of "NoSalt" or used a sodium free alternative before, but I decided to give this a try. It is actually really helpful for balancing out your sodium intake. For use as potassium supplement in hydration or electrolyte mixes for running/lifting this product is great. When trying to make use of it as salt supplement, when cooking it’s quite repulsive.

I love that I have this option to reduce my salt intake. It doesn't taste like salt. It tastes slightly different. So it may take a little acclimation. The nice thing is that it can replace salt in baking with little if any difference in taste. I will continue to use this to improve my health.

I will try to be as honest as possible because I depend on other people's reviews and feel I want to help the best I can: I have pre-hyper tension, which means I take a small dose of blood pressure meds daily, but that is enough to keep my readings as normal. But if I do not also watch what I eat, I will have High Blood Pressure in full. SALT seems to be the main thing that my Doctor warns me of, because I do not eat much of the other obvious things like FATS and GREASE and SUGARS. So I decided to give this a try. Not soon enough to see a difference on my readings, and I don't usually add much salt anyway because most foods are already salty enough. But I can make these comments. I find it taste pretty much like regular salt. BUT it is very fine making it easy to OVER Salt with NO SALT. It is also a tiny bit more powerful or "salty" than regular salt, so my warning is TAKE IT EASY until you figure out how much works for your taste buds. It does not require as many shakes of the shaker to get the desired results. Too much and it will taste salty. I Recommend. Good Luck.

It’s okay for a substitute salt, but to me it has a noticeable metallic taste

Everyone and I mean everyone should use this product. Not in a million years would you not think this is salt. It is incredible and the taste is very intense. Since salt is not good for you PLEASE try this.

Had to buy 6 minimum so taking a chance first time but I will end up using them all as a partial substitute for regular salt. Tastes good but ingredient list says one component is mineral oil which doesn’t sound so good. Also contains a couple of unrecognisable acids so not just pure potassium salts. Five stars for the product but one taken off because had to buy 6 and not sure about some of the ingredients.

I like the taste, even though it is not exactly like salt. I am pleased that I am getting more potassium, not sodium, in my diet.

I bought this product as I had heard that it tastes exactly like salt. Unfortunately , this is not true for me. It has very strange " taste" and it remains my mouth after eating. Or to be accurate, it cause strange feeling in mouth. I can't tolerate with this feeling and will toss away the product sadly. It may work with others but not for me.

But I thought I needed to. I didn’t have high hopes for this stuff. But WARNING you only need the tiniest bit of this no salt substitute compared to how much you would use if this was salt otherwise the taste is way to overpowering and strong. But if you put the smallest amount it tastes almost identical taste salt! I have heart failure so I’m on a sodium restriction & it was really limiting what I could eat & make, not anymore thanks to this stuff. I’m so excited that I tried & found this brand :)
