Dolan Designs 9106-68 1Lt Winchester La Mirage 1 Post Light, Bronze/Dark

Needed a break from the carriage lamps I’ve seen for what seems like eons and these were just the ticket. Solid quality and easy to install. Couldn’t be happier with my choice.

We like Craftsman Style and Frank Lloyd Wright's Prairie Style objects, so this light had the style cues we liked. We already had an old light on a post in front of our house, so I removed it and this Dolan Designs light installed easily. To make it attach more firmly to our post, I drilled three holes in the post where the mounting screws from the light can be threaded in to penetrate the holes. That way, the light fixture is really locked onto the post. Other than that, installing the light was straightforward, and drilling the holes was not a requirement. Just something I wanted to do. The fixture uses a bulb with a standard Edison base, so we put in a 60-Watt equivalent LED bulb. That looks good, uses little power and makes no heat, so it works well for us. Here are a couple pictures of the light installed at my home -- one at night and one during the day. This Dolan Designs light is a little pricey, but it looks good and seemed to be made of quality materials. I recommend it.

Good looking and a good value. Seems to be better quality than most of the similar products at Lowe's or Home Depot.

The light delivered in excellent order. It matched my design expectations.

Very sturdy. Base of lamp is built of stronger, thicker, metal than other pole lamps considered. I expect this to last longer than the pole light it replaces. Entire top screws on/off by hand. No screw driver required. This will make cleaning, and changing bulbs easy. Packaged very well. Light and glass mantle were fully protected with substantial packaging. Unlikely to get damaged in shipping. Fully satisfied with purchase. Planning to buy additional units.

I like these lights. They arrived well packed and all in one piece. Install was a easy The only thing I didn't like was the really cheap anchoring screws. Oh well, you can't have it all. But these lights look great. I put led lights in them so I don't expect to be changing the lights in them for more than 10 years.

I didn't want to spend a lot for driveway lights, needing 7. These did the job, look decent, but quality is just ok.
