short and sweet, not overly flowery, this book gives a pretty clear path for learning how to exercise greater influence over your thoughts (and ultimately habits and beliefs). simple is usually not easy, dr h provides many examples of how to apply the methods he shares in a way that (for me) feels motivating while not toxically positive. great book for improving the relationship to your own mind and understanding/influencing others!

Great Book
Awesome book to read if you are trying to move your life into a better direction. The book offers techniques to program your mind for success. Some of the techniques are: Pay attention to your self-talk - the thoughts you tell yourself Clear out negative self-talk that doesn't serve you Replace negative self-talk with positive self-talk (he even gives sample scripts) The key to success is repetition. Most people quit repeating the steps above after a week or so. In order for this to work you may need to repeat these same positive self-talk scripts for several months or longer. You are going to be here anyway. You may as well be here living your best life repeating positive self talk. As with anything, take what you need from the book and leave the rest.

Good info, but a lot of sales push for his tapes
This book does have some good information and it starts out talking about how you can just do this yourself, then it starts being an add for his tapes. The first part is very good, though - take the sales pitch with a grain of salt, perhaps an entire shaker.

Highly recommended
I read this book a long time ago and recently bought it for a friend who is always worrying/negative. This book is about mind management. Sounds new age like but it is a very purposeful book. If you learn the advice and more importantly put it into practice, you can really turn your thoughts and your life around. Seriously. We all have those negative or self doubtful thoughts that creep in, or worrying thoughts. This book will instruct you how to replace those thoughts with positive ones and replace worrying with problem solving. Additionally you can improve your daily living by simple programming of your brain. Sounds hoaky but advice is very simple to follow. The book explains how/why it's simple techniques work.

We perhaps know it all, read it somewhere or heard it from our parents in the childhood but never had a scientific logical explanation on this theory. This book not only explains it but also helps us understand why we should change the way we generally talk to us / people.

Fantastic Book. Everyone needs to read this and see how great they will feel once they change their inner language and start talking to themselves in a fully unconditional and loving way. I hope this review sparks at least one person to read this book and change their life to a more positive vibe.
