Is the length measured from tip to tip, or from connector to connector? i.e. cable + connectors = 12 inches, or 12 inches of cable + the connectors?

Hi Andrew, thank you for showing an interest in our cables :) Though the length is stated as 12 Inches / 1 Foot, it will be slightly longer than that as its 12 inches of cable + the connectors. It is only for our guitar/instrument cables we use the tip-to-tip approach to keep the pedal-boards clean. Most guitarists do not like to have extra lengths of cable hanging out. Warm regards, WBC

How is signal directionality achieved? Physics says that metals conduct anisotropically. Are you including a diode in the signal path?

The signal indeed has no directionality, you can connect either end to the signal source. The shield however is only connected at one end which should be the signal source.
