It's ok but I had to redo the mesh ties
Made in China 😔 it seems ok but has riveting on the top that are not on the product picture and i had to redo the mesh straps and stretch it out the correct way. Not a big deal but I noticed

A must for wood burning stoves
Great vent cap and works with all Shasta Vent products. In stainless steel it should last a lifetime and I don't have to worry that I'm venting my potbelly stove or the cinders that will pass up the chimney. Nice thickness of the spark screen keeps the roof safe.

Quality product. Relatively pricey.
Looks and works great. Easy install. Expect it to last forever.

Not what it says
The item is 8”at its biggest not smallest. Description not very good.

Good product
Decently made. Seems like quality spot welds. I live in a high wind area and this seems like it will do the trick. Can mount into a Selkirk brand Metal Abestos model trim ring... but the included locking ring won’t work... just use 5 #8 x 3/4” stainless steel screws to mount.

Did not fit
Purchased this vent cap. After reading spec’s it should have fit but did not. Had to return.
