Good buy.
Works good and just what I needed. My vehicle kept giving me check engine light. I called the dealership to see cost on finding out what the problem was and they wanted 200$ to just diagnose the issue(not fixing it) so I ordered this handy little tool and turns out I just needed to replace a coil. Simpler fix, and saved me about a couple hundred.

Worth the money.
I was impressed, small unit but the data steam works just as good as the more expensive units. Well worth the money. Instructions could be better but unit not hard to figure out.

Works as designed.
I've used this tool to diagnose issues on three cars now. It has pointed me in the correct direction on several occasions and allowed me to clear the codes once I have completed the repair. A friend had the same car I had (different model year only difference) a had a problem which turned out to be an easy fix. He did not have a code reader and it took almost 2 hundred miles of driving for the check engine light to go out. I had a similar issue, made the fix and reset the codes, no lights and no long driving. This code reader can be hooked to the internet for updates.

Good little scanner!
This Onboard Diagnostic (OBD) scanner was the next step up from their cheaper version, but performed as if it might be more sophisticated. It was not. Although there were no explanatory instructions for every function, it was quite simple to figure out after using it a couple times. I am a beginner to these types of electronics, but I had to find out why my 12 year old car had a code and figure out the problem before my mechanic tackled the job. Every system was addressed that needed to be and I checked everything for peace of mind. Every system and sub-system passed except the initial error code and my mechanic confirmed it as well. That saved time and money. He corrected the problem, and cleared the code, all because of this scanner. Even though it isn't a high dollar professional one like he had, it diagnosed the problem, same as his did and got me enormous relief since there were no outrageous charges to be dealt with. I highly recommend this OBDII and checking your system every so often is good preventative maintenance

Works, but laughable documentation
The thing works ok, it does its job decently, it's cheap. Limit your expectations. And "support?" What's that? They don't know. It's Chinese. When it breaks eventually, throw it into a volcano. For instance, the only thing I could find on the actual "Support" menu of their site is a "subscription" for "updates" for $80 (for a gadget that costs half that. Their online "user guides" read like marketing brochures, and while you CAN connect this to a computer, via the unexplained-in-the-box USB cable, nowhere do they make it clear it only works on Windows. I will make it clear: IT CAN ONLY BE CONNECTED TO RELATIVELY-RECENT WINDOWS PCS! There. The gadget does feel decently made and because it needs no battery (it pulls power from your OBD port and cannot diagnose anything if thw car doesn't run) it's one less thing to keep track of.Forty bucks, it does stuff, the documentation and "support" are laughable. Not the worst thing I ever bought on here, and it got here fast.
