Patience and education
Loving it. I am an airline pilot and sometimes I commute home after a trip and have only a day or two off before I need to go back to work. With “ Crunch “ mowing, all I need to do is a bit of edging. Saves a lot of time and effort and my yard is looking awesome. Neighbors are all intrigued and interested.Over the first few weeks, there were growing pains. I used my edger to bury the boundary wire. I ran the boundary wire across my driveway through expansion joints. Used a bit of silicone to make sure it stays in joint. Initially I ran wire around everything (to include small ornamental trees and flower bed islands. In later removed that wire as it caused the mower to get lost (think it was boxed in) That helped tremendously. I kept waiting for the map to generate of the mowing area. I read it would take 50 hours to generate map. Mine took 22 hours. Once the map was generated, I turned off the GPS assisted navigation and created two zones. I told the mower to travel the boundary wire a certain distance in each zone and then to start mowing. I also told it what % of the total mowing time to work each zone. Since then, it has been kicking a$$ and taking names . Only problem I’ve had was a utility worker picking it up a few days ago while he was marking utility line with spray paint. I got him on security camera picking it up and looking at it. It started flashing headlights and making the shrieking alarm sound and he set it down fast and walked away. Hahahaha. I just reset the error via my app while I was in Los Angeles. ( The mower was at home in Louisiana).Only cons I can think of are no striping. (It mows randomly, so you have to give it enough time to randomly cover entire work area) on occasion it says charge dock is blocked when trying to return for charging. The charger is not blocked however. I just use app and tap reset error . It has returned to dock every time after that .Overall, absolutely love it.

Husqvarna support is the worst, and it had two mechanical failures including a motor mount.
Husqvarna support is the worst, and it had two mechanical failures including a motor mount. After two months of running, I decided I wanted to replace the blades early. One screw was rusted so bad that it was impossible to remove. This is because the blade disk is poorly designed to use unlike metals for the threads and screws.Husqvarna doesn't do their own support and instead tricks small businesses into selling their products and uses them to do their warranty support. When I contacted Husqvarna support each time they just sent me a list of a ton of these resellers. I would call them one by one just for the numbers to be disconnected or to get told they don't deal with Husqvarna anymore. I finally found one for the blade mount disk. When I showed up, the only guy who worked on them had already quit. Luckily they gave me the part I needed, but when I was looking at replacing it, I noticed that the motor was mounted on a plastic mount, and the entire motor mount was broken, and the motor was just hanging free.I've been trying for the last few months to find a dealer to help me warranty this by contacting support and calling the list of numbers. I finally found a new startup business who said they would help warranty it, but it's been over a month and they haven't even ordered the parts. Do not get a Husqvarna. I'm looking for any other brand to permanently replace this brand.I bought a third party warranty JUST-in-case and I'm hoping they can pull through so I can leave Husqvarna permanently.

My yard is just perfect every day
This this is frustratingly efficient. I only use it in my back yard. The instructions say there is a way to set up a second zone, but I have not done that, so it only mows my back yard. My grass is perfect every day. Every day. It took 10-14 days to get the yard that nice looking as it slowly lowered the blade down to optimal height. It makes the rest of my yard look unkempt because the grass looks perfect every day. After I weed eat the edges, within two days I can see that there is a difference in height of where it mows and where it can not get all the way next to the chainlink fence. I end up using the weed eater more often to keep everything looking good. This mower sort of makes me mad because it makes my front yard look less kept. I know what is going to happen, I will purchase a second one next year to take care of the front yard. In my opinion, I find that using the small stakes on the perimeter wire is much easier than burying the wire. I did both and after doing both, next time I am just going to use the stakes. The location of the boundary and return wire is only visible for a few weeks and the stakes and wire disappear after a few weeks. There is no danger of the wire under the stakes getting cut by the mower or my weed eater. I am quite impressed with this little thing. Next year, I will purchase a second for the front. I have a very complicated layout in my front yard and I have no doubt that this mower will be able to handle the layout.
