why doesn't this map list Taiwan as a country?

Taiwan was never part of China. During the civil war, the National party fled from China to Taiwan when the Communist took over. Taiwan is home to most of the world's semiconductor manufacturing. China wants to threaten and bully Taiwan and the other countries around them. So if China invades Taiwan, China will control most of the world's semiconductor manufacturing. South Korea's Samsung is second after Taiwan's TSMC.

Hi. I think you are asking how hard it is to keep clean? I have the large one with the world map on it which has a light blue background on it and I have spilled coffee and soda on it and it cleans up very well, leaving no stains behind. My daughter has one with a black background and her wipes clean as well with a damp cloth as well. We both love these mouse pads not only for gaming but for everyday use.
